Any time that they even think about let alone mention open relationships they are already cheating or will be very soon. Disengage by any means necessary and distance yourself as far as possible from her, her family and friends and anyone else who you know that will not support you.

Everybody I've known who has suggested to their spouse (and it can be the husband, too) to "open up" their marriage has either already cheated, or has somebody in particular in mind. They are merely looking for a way to justify their adultery. OP is NTA for divorcing his wife, but he IS the AH for not dumping her the moment she suggested it.

NTA, but OP should never agreed in the first place. Either divorce or demand couples counseling and a retroactive postnup as a precondition for not divorcing.
