According to OP’s comments on Reddit, not once did her mom or stepdad text her to come home or check on her on her birthday, so she genuinely didn’t know that they had planned anything. And despite their lofty words that they had planned something special for her, the only real sign that she saw that they had planned anything was that they had switched out the tablecloth on the dining room table. OP needs to move out ASAP.
