I think he got $6500 because he sold it to people that knew the bike was 100% what he said it was in a community that actually cares about what bike they ride and having good bikes really matters.

the 2025 is actually a stiffer frame, they found out they were going to soft on the chassis then the thing would just deflect off bumps and stuff and just wouldn't work together with the suspension

If you were to pay 12k round about for a 2025 450r would you still consider the hit when you resell it worth it? Thats about the range a new 2025 crf450r runs in florida near me.

Yeah that is wild. I’ve noticed they’re definitely in the cheaper end. Saw a guy trying to sell a 2023 KX450 with 50 hours on it for $6500 and I messaged him just to tell him how out of pocket he was considering you can get a brand new one 2 years newer zero hours for like $500 more

@Motolife_19 sure is, but 2024 is about to get a bunch of deals like 1k or 2k off because they're a "year old." No one I know is gonna pay 6500 for a used bike lol.

How many hours do you all expect a stock 250F to run for assuming you are on top of maintenance? We have one with KX 250 55 hours (vet hours) and another with 130 hours (younger/faster rider).

It varies as some brands are more reliable than others. 150 hours on a 250f would have me so scared of 💥that I wouldn’t be able to ride it without constantly worrying. Time for complete tear down and inspection. Crank bearings and piston at a minimum and probly a conrod. If you’re a vet C guy and not a revver, I’d say 60 hrs on piston. Roughly.

@@jcbenson01 makes sense. We do the basic maintenance including oil/filter every 2-4 hours. Then bring the bikes to a professional mechanic to inspect the valves, pistons, and bearings every 25-30 hours at this point. These bikes are just one year old at this point and have been solid. Just got a 2025 Honda 250R so we have a spare. :-)

@@psychofunksoldier02I am religious about air filters every ride and oil every 3-4 hours on my 350 and 450. Oil still comes out looking very clean, just slightly darker than new. And I am now doing oil filter every other oil change (so about 8 hrs on oil filter). My KTM 350 has 149hrs and my Husky 450 has 144 hrs. Austrian bikes are built very durably. What I know of kawis is that they have a lot of bottom end failures, which would have me very concerned. And the same reason I parked my 150 hr bikes and just replaced with a 60hr machine. At 150 hrs I know I’m on borrowed time. And I ride harder than most. But not as hard as some.

@@jcbenson01 thanks for the details! Would love a KTM or Husky 350. :-) We just replaced the bottom end on the one Kawi. It’s been a good bike. It’s my kid’s bike. He’s 14 and rides a lot harder than I do.
