Great video. I wonder what you think about training with weights? I'm a natural bodybuilder and street dance enthusiast. We don't do much floor work in my school but I would like to learn some simple moves. I do a lot of weighted calisthenics including dips, push-ups and side planks with increasingly heavier weight. Since I'm taller and heavier than ideal and not losing weight any time soon I imagine that simply getting stronger in calisthenics is my only option. I split all my workouts into parts and if I were to do these exercises without weights, I imagine I would start losing strength but not weight, which would seem like a disaster for breaking progress.

Excellent tutorial @AJ-47 Soul Mavericks. Do you know how many sets and reps I should do of these and how I can integrate them into my gym workouts without causing overtraining? Thank you.
@AJ47SoulMavericks8 жыл бұрын
***** Thanks, man! There are many ways you can integrate them, here are a few ideas. Pick 1 on these exercises and find your 80% maximum reps (Do until you can't do anymore.) Let's say it's 10 for example, you can then do 8 reps, 3-5 sets. Or You could pick four or five exercises that target different muscle groups you can do back to back with perhaps longer or shorter rest time in between. For example 15 Seconds of "Plyo Push Ups" 15 seconds of "Stab Freeze Seesaws" (both sides) 15 Seconds of "Bboy Burpees" 15 Seconds of "Power Up Plank" 15 Seconds of "Rolling Burpee Squat" I hope this is helpful, feel free to ask me anything else ;)

@AJ-47 Soul Mavericks I train 6 days a week bodybuilding. I do push, pull and shoulders/legs x2. Should I separate the bboy exercises out to a morning session (I train after work for my bodybuilding)? I tried to do some Plyo Push Ups with my push workout (chest/triceps) and I am exhausted by the time I get to them. Any suggestions? Thank you.
@AJ47SoulMavericks8 жыл бұрын
Stevan Šajković How about upgrading the normal push ups with some of the Plyo push ups? Since you're body building, doing the plyo push ups more will stimulate the grown hormone more than the normal push ups. If not you can do them first? That's what I do. Make sure your joints are nice and warm first tho as it can be a bit of a shock to the body. Sorry for the delayed response but do let me know how you get on, I want to help and curious how you get on. Peace!

I tried for awhile and stopped because of how hard it is. I continued with my calisthenics journey as a prerequisite towards B-Boying, but I feel like I can't do it because of my weight and height. I need a teacher on this :( Am I headed in the right direction with this? Do I need to be "lighter" to b-boy the way you do it in your videos? I know this stuff takes time
@AJ47SoulMavericks6 жыл бұрын
Great message and great questions! Ultimately the lighter you are the easier it will be to manage your body. Calisthenics helps loads tho! I'm doing a lot myself right now as my knee is injured. Diet is a massive part of weight loss. I'll make a few videos regarding weight loss for you. Don't give up. I believe in you. 👊🔥

If i do this training i Will get tired for my break training kkkk... is better for me go to this training and get my body ready or just go to powermoves?
@AJ47SoulMavericks7 жыл бұрын
This type of training is best done in the morning if you train in the evening. You take only a few exercises you think will help you based on your goals. Do them most days for two weeks. Train bboying and power moves separately. Personally I usually do some of these exercises after training and in the morning. Hope this helps! 😎🤙
5-8 reps is a good number. 3-5 if it's really challenging. 8-12 if you're a beast!
