In the last Euros, when Portugal faced an extremely compact and organized France he was by far the biggest threat going foward and easily the best performing portuguese player on the tournament. He also has shown some quality playing as LCB for his national team, profiling as the modern-versatile type of player Amorim really likes. Truly a great fit for the system if he can avoid those damn injuries x)

I agree Amass should get some game time he is incredibly talent in my eyes I think the reason why he isn’t getting game time is due to physicality though I am not sure

From what I've heard (not actually watched his games), he's been struggling to deal with the physicality of the u21s. If that's true, then he's clearly not ready yet for the Prem. Hopefully we'll see him soon enough. Amorim was playing 17-year old Quenda as a WB, so it clearly doesn't have anything to do with Amass' age.

Hopefully we dont fall into same cycle of buying players Manager has worked with. Nunes does has fitness concern n we dont require any injury to a left sided full backs. For the immediate game vs Newscastle ; Antony has attribute to fill in as LwB n Amad as RwB and play Dalot n Casemiro as the pivot. Maz, Deligt n Martinez in back 3 Try Mainoo and Zirzee behind Hoijland We need runners with fitness and capable to be compact as well. Antony should be sold but for now he can defend, looks after the ball n importantly the fitness to get up and down.

So any good left footed wing-back could solve our attacking problems. We've seen teams like Bournemouth and Wolverhampton playing better than us, because they are balanced and complete teams. Ait-Nouri or Kerkez would probably be good signings as well.

@ mazrauoui injury is way less and non specific. It’s one thing when a player has a broad injury which can mean a knock from a game which every player gets. Mendes injuries are specific and recurring which is pointing to an underline problem that keeps coming back. Very very different.

Everything you said about the importance of Lefties is correct, in several positions they are optional, it varies from coach to coach, RA likes left-footed rw and Amad's position too Sarabia, Trincao, Edwards, fatawu, Geny, Quenda all left foot who played at Sporting with RA Salah, Saka, Bernardo Silva are examples in other teams

Harry Amass LWB was born for that postion and Amorins formation. Hes fast great engine LEFY FOOTED great skill great decision maker and the best in our club for that position at present. Why do people talk about his physicality !! Hes strobg!as a horse hard as nails and holds his own with anyone. Take Mo Salah as an example in preseason and carrying the ball forward unbelievable and gets balls into the box short and long. For those who say theyve HEARD hes been struggling at u21s youve heard WRONG hes outgrown u21s and is ready especially in our current position. Give him a chance he cant do worse than Dalot whos playing out of position

For me, it was always between Davies and Mendes as the top choice for WB, so I'm happy to see we're really going after one of them. That said, I honestly think this is going to be a tough deal with PSG. They're probably going to slap a crazy price tag on him that we can't afford. If we even want a shot at making this happen, we need at least one sale in the window, but even then, it's going to be tight. I'm hoping it works out, but I'm also prepared for the reality that we might have to back off and consider other options.
