I heard a rumor that Crybaby was gonna burn down the school instead of using a spit bubble, and Fire Drill was gonna play while the school was burning down and Recess would be on the deluxe album instead. But the budget didn't cut for it, and they did the school dance and used Recess instead. It's a shame, Fire Drill seems more final than Recess in my opinion.

The girl Melanie plays is called Crybaby, she has powers (as its showed) and she has an album about her backstory. K-12 also stands for Kindergarten to 12 grade/high school so every new song is a new grade. There’s also a lot of different meanings like the Bullying and Transphobia, in Show and Tell it talks about the music industry and how they’re very controlling towards the song artists. Drama Club is telling people to wake up from all the lies the media have been feeding them, with the school being the media, and Strawberry Shortcake is about how woman are being told what to wear and are supposed to look like. It also touches on unfair dress code at schools and how girls are only supposed to wear a certain thing while boys just get away with anything. I love Melanie so much and her storytelling is amazing!!!

I feel like the whole movie would’ve been more descriptive if see had a higher budget. the movie was 3 hours long originally and and a lot over her budget, her budget was originally around 4 million so when the movie was to long and over her budget she had to cut a lot of parts out like when the school was supposed to burn down instead of being in a bubble. And yes there is a second movie coming out hopefully it doesn’t take 4 year because she has a little more knowledge on directing and stuff so I would say around 2 years! I saw K-12 at the theatre and let me tell you... seeing the visuals on the big screen for the first time absolutely blew me away.
