Hey AJ, when people are trying to get holeshots they are on the very back of the bike. Is that to try to get traction to the rear wheel?

Yes. The more weight on the back tire gets more drive to get more speed.

that’s not until you shift into third gear and have a long/deep straightaway where you’re trying to lighten the load on the front end

I'm no expert rider but I know once there is no weight on the pegs of the pedals on a MTB bad stuff happens.

It always impresses me, and scares me a little watching you jump on some random person's bike, and just go balls to the walls. So many random things could be off that could potentially cause a problem. I hope you at least check to make sure they are not about to run out of gas.

I usually do check for gas if I’m about to do a larger jump. A little scary though if I think about it afterward
