I was able to pick up on your throttle timing for the jumps. Haven’t been a track guy since 97. Rode Glen Helen a 5 weeks ago and was afraid to get air. Used to clear the 60’ tabletop no problem. LOL, I checked up in front of any lip. I know I’d have confidence on anything I’ve done before because muscle memory would take over. On something I’ve never done, I guess rolling jumps and getting a few small ones in will help regain my confidence and lead to being a decent jumper again. So hearing your rolls versus launches has kind of re fired my old memory. 61 and still hitting dirt twice a week

For those wondering, once you have some years of riding and racing on motocross tracks, hitting jumps becomes 2nd nature and you just get better at knowing how much to give it to clear the jumps. Better to over jump than under jump. You'll eventually get to the point where you can hit every jump on the track in your 1st practice session. Follow other riders, dont be afraid to stop and ask another rider that you've seen hit a jump you've been nervous about. Ask to follow him and copy his speed and stay right behind him.

When riding local practice tracks with mostly back yard barnys riding the same novice lines do the tracks ruff up and break in to there lines how different are they compared to a lines and pro lines as I'm a fat old beat up New England rider I'm planing on start riding next year after 20 years off a bike was just wondering I remember uxbridge mx was awesome when the fast a and b riders where there during the week but weekends the lines where way different

The lines form completely different. The jump faces can get a little scary when mostly beginners ride the track because a lot of them will gas it hard last second, and cause weird kickers on face
