3:08 is the reason solder wick was invented. Place the wick on top of the solder you want gone, heat the wick with the iron. Wick heats up & draws all the solder; leaves the copper traces for the next replacement part.😉

The 36xxx series are designed and priced as entry locomotives (Marklin Myworld or Hobby). These are often priced at far less than half the price of a regular Marklin locomotive. But with the centrally mounted motor, cardans, and flywheel, the running characteristics are actually really good.

there is a sucking device for solder, cheap simple and effective, you can suck up all the solder easily

HI after welding I would like to use shrink tubing to protect my work, but I don't know wich model I have to use, can you help me please, is it this model Diameter before shrinking: 2.4 mm diameter after shrinking: 1.2 mm wall thickness: 0.51 mm or Diameter before shrinking 3.2 mm diameter after shrinking: 1.6 mm wall thickness: 0.51 mm or another, thank you a lot.

+paul vm We use tubing that is 1/16 and shrinks to 1/32 (inches). It is approximately 1.6 mm and after shrinking 0.8 mm. Try the 2.4 mm, and see if it works for you. If it cannot slide away from the soldered spot, you should be OK.

I have an old Delta electric locomotive that has no sounds, and I want it to create sounds. What shall I do?? The locomotive is the 33535 (Mickey Mouse 1998)

+Padrós Rios You can remove the Delta decoder, and add a new sound decoder. We have sound decoders by Marklin, and also by ESU. You have to also upgrade the motor to DC. This can be done with a magnet (keeping the 3-pole motor) or upgrading the motor to 5-pole. I recommend upgrading the motor to 5-pole. It is not that much more, and will give the motor better slow speed characteristics.
