from first to second problems are a foot wear problem not the gearing excellent review !

Thanks for the video description of this bike. I'm viewing one on Thur in the hope of riding it back home. I'm a bit nervous in riding it the 49 miles back home having not rid it before. It could prove to be a very worthwhile and pleasant ride saying that. I've been driving cars for over 20 years so i do possess some road sense at least. It's everybody else. :)

i got the black nac 12 and love it. although on a flat ive had 92 out of mine dont think it would quite reach 100 but lovley to ride even on longer journeys and really looks the part round other big bikes.

@jaylufc72 well the the handel bars are 70cm wide and the wing mirrors are 80, but you can easily fold them so you should be fine :)
@magnus_nara12 жыл бұрын
top speed on average was about 75mph.. starting wise, yeah she was always pritty good :) i mean its always good to let your bike warm up a little before you go, but if your in a rush she'll start up good, just leave the choke on for maybe a mile or so :), hope you enjoy yours as i did mine! hope this helped :)

glad you liked the video :), yeah when i had my AJS the longest ride i had on it was 1hr 40ish minutes, and as far as i can remember it was a nice comfy ride, it was a good year ago mind you haha but yeah its a lovely bike to ride :), a lot more comfy than my ZXR 400! haha, hopefully getting a suzuki GSXR 600 end of the year :)

hey Tom,yeah, buy it for sure, its a nice bike, but i think if your wanting something for the long term, like over a year or two then i say maybe get a Japanese bike, yes they are more expensive but they quality is unmatched, the ajs is pritty realiable :P the ajs is nice, just be sure to do regular cheaks, the only real problem i had were dirty sparkplugs, but that was coz fuel mix was to lean, easy fix, but all in all i say go for it, they are nice bikes hope that helped magnus
@magnus_nara13 жыл бұрын
@Tribute123 cheers, well its a really nice bike to ride, i get alot of complaments and people think its a 600cc bike instead of a 125, i dont really have anything to moan about, i mean when you get any bike if your getting second hand is to cheak it over, like spark plugs, head lights. thats it really... top speed... im not 100% sure coz i havnt ridden it that much, but it will go up to 60mph happlily
@MegaXxREAPERxX12 жыл бұрын
hay im looking at getting this bike as i find mine unconftuble and slow can u say weather this is comftubale and what you had out of her top end, good vid hope to see more
@magnus_nara12 жыл бұрын
i dont see why it wouldnt be, might be worth just giving it a check over, like spark plugs, tyres, thats the only problem i had with mine... also the only other problem i had was i managed to brake the fan, so i had to replace it, but it wasnt to expensive to replace, but they are easy bikes to repair if something does happen to go wrong, but i loved mine when i had it :) got a kawasaki zxr 400 now :) nice bike too!
@magnus_nara13 жыл бұрын
@Tribute123 no probs :) ah im planing on buying some twin headlights, if you find any cool ones could you send me a link to them? well cant wait to see your bike :) will be ace to see someone else with a nac 12 :)

Nice review, informative and helpful. One thing I would like to know and I cant get this information from any website/auto trader, but what is the width of the handlebars? I am really interested in this type of bike but have only got 90cm to pay with down the side of my house :-/
@magnus_nara6 жыл бұрын
6 years to late I know, but thank you for the kind words! Unfortunately I now cant give you that information, I assume you don’t need it anymore. i hope you have had 6 years of happy riding haha

@adamhollick1 personally i havnt heard that... but i mean from the video you can see my exaust was slightly rusty.. thats only because it was driven in winter time when the roads were being salted and beeing silly, didnt wash the bike down afterwards, but otherwise no, i didnt have any rust problems... but even if you begin to see signs of rust, just get some sand paper, sand it down till most or all the rust has gone and then apply some heat resistan/prtective paint, they are lovely bikes :)
@adamhollick112 жыл бұрын
I've heard reviews that these rust, do they? I hope not, I want to get one...

@Tribute123 hey, yeah the fork tube is 33mm :), you should put on a vid when you get the bike ;) and can you send me a link to the handle bars?

Greetings mate, nice NAC, All of AJS 125's have twin disks up from, because there is a direct engine upgrade to a 350cc, I have the Eos, Same engine. Very reliable, excellent economy and a good looker too. Why not join the Modern AJS Owners club. Look up Modern AJS Owners Club on facebook
@IndoorCheeses13 жыл бұрын
awesome, well i guess its always a bonus getting compliments like that for a 125! :) i have read a few reviews and owners are saying that it breaks down easily and that its generally shit haha, but i guess if you run it in properly for the first 500 to 1000 miles then it should be a dream because people weren't running this bike in and blowing the gearbox and so on. im pretty excited to get this bike, i means i had 4 bikes so far so i want this one to be special if you catch my drift? cheers

hi I also have a AJS NAC 12 lovely looking bike. I just wanted some advice I done about 150 miles on the bike so far and kept under 6000 revs until yesterday where for the time i really open it up and found on the flat I could only do about 50mph when I heard it should be doing close to 80 :L its my first bike and I don't know if it just needs to be run in a few more hundred miles before reaching top speeds or if this is abnormal for the bike :( ??
@magnus_nara13 жыл бұрын
@cmdr1165 oh, not a bad idea, cheers :), tbh if i have a back pack on i'll just put it in there :)
@magnus_nara13 жыл бұрын
@Tribute123 well mine is 2nd hand and i done just over 2000 miles and she runs like a dream, i mean i had to change a spark plug but otherwise shes perfect, i mean yeah in the morning i start her up using the choke, but i mean thats nothing to worry about, but aslong as you service the bike and stuff it will run fine, i recoment buying a haynes manual coz it will tell you when to service it how to change things so it really keeps the price down, pluse parts arnt to expensive
@magnus_nara13 жыл бұрын
ok heres an idea, i'll post a video up showing that i actually ride a "real" bike :)

yeah they are super nice bikes, they are surpisinlt fun round corners, obviously not as fun or as fasr as my zxr 400 but yeah i really liked it for a first bike, but as @Trenbo1994 pointed out there are obviously other bikes, but i have no personal experiance of the hyosung, hope you enjoy what ever it you decide to get, sorry for the slow reply, been in hospital, mountain bike crash lol

hey dude its me again :) im ordering this bike in the next day or so.. but i was just wondering if you could do me a massive favor?! .. basically im gonna order some clip on sports handlebars and i need to know the diameter of the forks first before i can let the dealer know what size handlebar mounts i need. could you maybe let me know asap?? i will realllyyyyy appreciate your help man :)
@TeenageBikerTard11 жыл бұрын
I personally think this would of been a good bike If it had built well, i.e. Chinese, although that would raise the price considerably if it were to be made by a branded name like Honda, but the quality would be there aswell.
@Gohomehuntingban10 жыл бұрын
Look into the cb125tde superdream, they are old but also a twin cylinder, muuuch better quality and despite the age, would buy one time and time again. Really are good and these ajs just don't have the standards you expect. Undo any plastics and may not ever go back on lol

Did you really just say you don't need a choke you clearly know nothing about bikes or how engines work fella
@magnus_nara8 жыл бұрын
what i meant by that was on that particular bike, i didn’t need to choke to start it, and yes i didn’t know a huge amount about engines when i was 17, but in the 5 years since this video i have learned a great deal more
@larrymckenna35038 жыл бұрын
you only use a choke in cold weather shaun is full of shit !
@shaunhogwood61938 жыл бұрын
No you don't you use a choke when the bike is cold to give it more fuel so that you don't stress the engine you're full of shit my friend
