Seeing that this is a 2 stroke, i think an expansionchamber for each cylinder would greatly improve performance and rpm limit on this pocket rocket. Awesome build 👏
@jjhack3r Жыл бұрын
It's running rich. Some snowmobile engines use one expansion chamber for 2 cylinders all the time and the loss isn't too bad. His expansion chamber may not be optimal for that engine tho.
@tejdz1337 Жыл бұрын
@jjhack3r it would work if he had both pistons firing at the same time, how he has them 180 degrees apart means pulses from 1 cylinder will work against the other and vice versa. effectively making the pipe act half as short, throwing the resonance way out of wack.

Absolutely the finest art of knowledge, to build (or rebuild) an engine. When you look at a video like this, it looks decivingly simpel to to do something like this. But dont be mislead, only a few hundreds of a millimeter wrong messurement, or a few degrees wrong on ignition and the engine would be useless. You, Sir, are a true professional.

Cutting and welding two crankcases and two crankshafts together is impressive in itself let alone with a little help with a lathe and press not having to bore the case, using a rod the same diameter as the crankshaft to perfectly align the crankcase’s while welding was genius

Casually welding aluminium without any breathing gear or covering up your skin is a great way to shorten your life, lung cancer and skin cancer is a real killer. I used to tack stuff all the time without putting gloves on to save time, or i wouldnt connect my air line to my mask because the job i was doing would only take 30 seconds. But then i see the older guys who are in their 50s and 60s dieing from lung cancer and skin cancer, people who i know personally, so now i make sure i do it every time, no matter how small the job is. Even if it's not aluminium, cast iron or regular steel is still bad, especially if the metal has had oil on it at some point, the smoke will cause cancer. I also notice you handle a lot of solvents without using gloves which is another sure fire way to get all manner of different cancers and central nervous system damage, especially some of those older part cleaners that im almost certain aren't yet banned in the country you are in. Tetrachloroethylene is one of the worst chemicals you can put your hands into, and what's worse is that your body cannot get rid of it once it's inside of you. You really should consider wearing some protection, gloves are not expensive and if you can't get nice mask with an airline and air filter pack at the very least weld outside with a fan set just above your arc. And for the love of god check your solvents especially for Tetrachloroethylene, there are lots of alternatives out there which aren't quite as dangerous. Or you could just wear gloves!! I love your videos but someone has to tell you this, stay safe.

It has 6 gears and a clutch. It won't do a wheelie easily but it does take me (250lbs) up to a max speed of 71mph, downhill, with the wind at my back. Regular riding I never usually go over 55mph
