Everyone's saying it doesn't work, is doing it wrong. When you unplug your ignition there will be two red and one black wires. You connect your jumper wire to both of the red wires. Once everything lights up hit your start button. This works easily on all Honda Shadows. So always lock your front forks.

Help! My 2022drz400sm was stolen they took the ignition out. And all they did was use a paper clip to start it. I had it sitting for awhile until I finally got interest to fix it up. I tried there method orange and red put a paper clip in it and it starts the bike The wires sparked were the paper clip was in at what happen?

If the paper clip sparked it's because it isn't in there tight enough but if you cut the wires instead of using a jumper wire or a paper clip you can connect a switch in between the two wires so when you wanna turn bike on hit switch on hit start button bike starts when you wanna shut lights and bike of turn switch off the little toggle switch you connect between the two wires acts the same as a key a key does same thing as a switch except it needs a key to turn switch on to connect those two wires that's the whole purpose of having a key ignition switch so people can't steal your bike right away that's why it's best to lock the forks and possibly put a chain lock through to get wheels and lock bike to something because if you don't lock forks or put chain through wheels so.eons can load bike in back of a pickup truck and take it down the road and remove front clips and connect two wires on plug after disconnecting it like in video and ride off on a stolen bike

You need to have power from the battery to power fuel pump, sparks all that shit its alot more of a complex process. There are alot of different contact points inside of the ignition that all connect when you turn the key.

Depends actually. It's best to look up the wire diagram and do it with that. They're free online, and not every bike is just one plug like this. My cbr 600 has 2 different plugs you have to connect.

When my keys were stolen, with my CBR I had to damage the seat lock mechanism. You have to remove the seat to remove the fairings. you have to remove the fairings to remove the tank - for access to the wire connection.

Dude said any bike, when in reality it really is only super easy on offroad vehicles and China bikes. Go try this on an R1 or CBR, let me know getting the wires out from the ignition and triple trees are, not to mention most have a triple tree lock.

afaik most motorcycles just need to be powered on, and you can just use the ignition switch on most cars i've seen, brown wire's ignition

Look up the wiring diagram. They're free online, and they're stupid straight forward. It'll say ignition, and when you look at the bikes ignition it'll have a set number of wires. Just connect whichever ones and you're good. My cbr F3 needs 2 plugs connected for example.

No, you can pull the wires out from behind the headlight off to the side. It's easier to get around without it though. Like on a sports bike you'd need to take off the fairings.
