Was system like this (or some other barreled CIWS) ever used to shoot down missile fired in anger? And if yes, how effective it was?

@@RaV591 The GSh-6-30А (Basically AK-630 stripped down to barrels, ammo, and essential mechanisation) is installed on Mig-25 ("Flogger") as an aircraft gun :)

I saw a video of a Russian ship firing this weapon at some pirate boats. When fired the ship (sitting stationary) would heel over about 2 or 3 degrees, so this puppy has some recoil.
