being a hacker myself I'm not usually impressed by such demos but this one really hammers it home! Great work, can't wait to get my hands on my own APC.

Please do a tutorial on how to get the mode to control a drum rack!!!
@skateparkdomainskateparkre67723 жыл бұрын
Yes please elaborate on this. I pressed shift and the 3rd button in, like you did but no drum rack control. Its hard to find videos/understandable forum talk on the drum rack control.

Great video! Your speed and consistent movement is at a wonderful pace, my brother! So fucking helpful. Conceptualizing all of these different ideas and how you plan to use them is very inspirational and thought provoking! Would definitely watch more content of this nature.

@stray411: You're a pimp! Ive been showing my other acp homies the untapped potential of their midi controller and this video blew their minds. i especially like the workaround for the lack of velo-sensitive pads. It took me some time to acquire a copy of bome's, as other midi routers like PD can be difficult to set up to improve functionality. Im currently working on a mode to control visualizer programs natively from ableton, so that the set doesn't become too cluttered. Thank You x 9000!

Just bought it. And bought two padcontrol`s. Now will have to spend plenty of time adjusting it and remapping. I really like that cool idea with transport control like arrows up down, zoom and others. Trying not to use computer keyboard at all.

Very good review! Some kick ass ideas there! On a side note: if i'm not wrong, you can scroll by pressing Shift then clicking on the up/down buttons.

At 2.13 you state about the bank select buttons not making the clip veiw scroll when held. Mine does it out of the box mate -- just press and hold. no remapping required :)

I am very excited to see some Translator tutorials. Setting up momentary switches would be great for live performance. Some of that functionality looks way too complex for Translator, though... are you using any Max? Keep us posted! I'm subscribing to your channel.
@jasonwsvt15 жыл бұрын
How about setting up the drum pad with two sets of 4x4 (one on either side) and two horizontal sets of velocity controls up on top? This would make the Last pads unnecessary. If the velocity controls are specific to the side, you could have two velocities simultaneously.

OK so I think I understand it a bit more. Sounds like you know a little too. i think I'm going to get a high end allan and heath four channel mixer and then just use the apc as a midi controller only. no volume no eqing will be done with it. What you think? Suggestions?

Being able to momentarily mute and solo stuff would be really useful! As well as all the additional functionality.. Is Bome's MIDI Translator Pro expensive and difficult to program?
@djsmithy15 жыл бұрын
What is it youre trying to do exactly? Will you be using ableton to mix, or turntables? If youre using turntables and want to use the apc40 to trigger loops, youll need to have the sound card in your laptop hooked upto one of the channels on the A&H mixer.

Hey bro, thanks for this vid. sorry to ask a simple question. RE APC as drum machine.. how exactly do you do that? if you have chance do you think you expain clearly step by step how to do that as i like the idea. I'm using the APC live on stage and like the idea of being able to drop a simple beat off the APC with out having to carry another midi controller. I aint that hot on tech stuff being more of a performer than tech guy.. thanks bro appreciate..!
@Odd-Iz-He8 ай бұрын
But you didn't show how to map that stuff. I'd love to see how you did it. And use it on my own.. foe I instance how did u make drum rack trigger off time?
