Such an underrated sampler. Gonna get one that never got sold and is in storage of one of the stores nearby.

I have an 1000 which I blacked out and recently found a cheap 500. I'm waiting for the parts to make it like this one. I honestly love it more than the 1000 because it's so small and portable

It's amazing how this thing goes from pretty ugly to slick in just 15 minutes of work. Hope you're enjoying it.

Is there any velocity difference between standart pads vs. color pads? Looking cool but what it feels like when hittin' ? Because mpc 500 pads are so hard than mpd series or NI Machine MK2 - 3 ...

Thanks for the inspiration. I've just done a video on modifying my MPC500 too. I opted for a red slider cap with my MPC500 808 style conversion. My scroll wheel is the raised up one in black. The record nobs are the raised black ones made from metal. MPC Stuff do a black and red screen that I was contemplating getting. I might still get it on my next order but for the time being I still have the blue screen on mine. I think I'll do the screen and upgrade the memory the next time I open up my 500. I also have a 2000XL that I'm modifying soon so that's also on the agenda. Thanks once again for the inspiration.

Hello there. I have a question for you! Does the size of the wav. file matter when saving samples from the computer to the MPC500? I've tried chopping up sampling in a software program called Audacity. Then I would save them in a folder on a Compact Flash Card with 4 gigabytes. But whenever I try loading up those files into the MPC. The wont all load. I find that strange. Was it something I did wrong? I even tried compressing the files and changing the bit rate and then loading up into the MPC500 but all that did was take away the sound quality and make the samples play at a faster abnormal rate!!!! I thinking there must be better useful way to resolve this issue!!!

Did you resolve your sample upload problem? For the 500 it's best to sample directly into it via the audio inputs. To chop the sample you will have to do it by ear and numbers instead of a visual wav. It might seem daunting at first but in the end it may actually work out easier even if it's a bit slower. Even if you chop on another device or in software, I recommend record the audio into the 500 instead of uploading it.

Do you notice any difference in the feel of the MPCS pads? They're supposed to be more responsive. The stock ones suck

Looking Forward to your next beat. I used to have a mpc 500 2. Lot's of work. You using Audacity?

Leo T. Towarischtsch Thanks! I need to shoot another video soon. I only really use the 500 if I’m making a beat while out and about. I do all my chopping on the samplers I’m using. Chopping on the 500 can be slow for sure. At this point I only really use my computer for mix downs. I also use a RT707 tape machine as well. Thanks for watching!

I want a new mpc 500, options to get one? Soultron please
@Soultron5 жыл бұрын
I bought mine used off Reverb. Finding a new one these days might be a challenge. I had to keep an eye out to find one selling for a lower price. I usually check Reverb, eBay, Facebook market place, guitar center used section, and craigslist. Good luck!

Its a bit hard to find because everybody wants. 250-450 for This Mpc 500 which is hard to justify in my mind because it doesn’t have a waveform display or auto chop feature and for that price i might as well buy a 1k or keep saving for Mpc live. But keep an eye out for Ebay Auctions, Facebook marketplace, Offer Up, Let Go , Guitar Center
@chris456275 жыл бұрын
I got mines two days ago on Guitar Center for 200 but they killed me on 37$ of Taxes and S&H. Never again. If you really want a MPC 500 there’s a few available on OfferUp right now but for 300$
