my dude is back with a new vid! Thanks man, I'm fixing one of these myself. The top 3 pads are DEAD, and they don't sell the sensor pad anymore. I found a video on cutting slits into the dead sensors to let air back in, hoping to finally attempt it this weekend.

Incredible useful. I'm in awe of the utility of the mighty spudger. I got mine from ifixit.com. It came with an iphone battery repair kit. I call it a spudger in the video, but it turns out a different tool is referred to as a spudger. The one I used is called the "Opening Tool" www.ifixit.com/products/ifixit-opening-tool

happy new year! how long does your mpc500 last on the eneloops? with the backlight off?

not sure, i've never measured. I usually have a power adapter with me. I suspect it'll last through a weekend of heavy use
