2007 I made my first "Beat" on Garage Band . Three Years later I started rapping and got the MPC 500.
At first it was frustrating^^ and my Beats were trash. But then I enjoyed it more and more..
Eventually I gave up rapping in order to focus more on making Beats..
Now I'm making Beats on the Mpc One and Ableton and I also started rapping again :)

Hey thank you for your help. There's only one part I misunderstood and that is where you made the second row glide. Now. When you were in modulation the mpc one doesn't have the same arrangements so I'm a little bit confused. How do you change it in the mpc one.

On method number 2 you plugged in a midi keyboard right? Do you think it’s possible to have one of those knobs in your mpc do the pitch bend ? You have like 4 knobs open on the mpc.... please post a video if you can!!!! Keep making those fire beats!!!!🔥

i think you can somehow assign "tune" to the q-links, but you cant really control it because they are endless knobs..so its not perfect..a fader would be dope..Thanks !! Will do:) I think Lifted Noise made a video about assigning those q links..!

Hi great video however I have a problem , I'm trying to remake the 70s song with 808 bass line, I tuned the 808 notes as you instructed it took up all the pads, then i sequence the Bass line with no problem, however When I went to a different bank And assigned drums two finger drum, the drums keep clipping the 808 any suggestions my worst case scenario is I would have to record the 808 bass line that is sequences, and then sample it back in to the Akai live, that's a lot of work I'm sure there's an easier way Thanks in advance

Yeah I know..I own a mpc 1000 with jjos2xl, and i was looking forward to the portamento when I got it..but unfortunately it is glitchy and not perfect..not so satisfying imo.But the faders are nice..even the mpc 500 has them..I made some nice 808 glides on the 500^^

You can't use any external plug ins with the mpc in standalone mode..but you can use plug ins with the software..but i cant say which, I'm sorry..^^ You can use the mpc as an ableton controller since the last update..check out the mpc live facebook groups..I'm sure they can help you with these software questions!
