This is really insane that you can do Pad Mute but not Track Mute... Having to export and then resample to the pads, oh man... That's a real slow downer in the process... And then also, if I program a Song Sequence I can't actually record the Pad Mute. I hope that exporting audio to Ableton and controlling it from the MPC Live can better deal with track mute. Cheers

I tried to use pad mutes with MPC Beats and MPC Studio, but Im not so sure why those midi notes remain unmuted after recording @mpchead Could you help please with this situation? I only use track mute before now I discover pad mute and I think is very interesting to provide movement to our sequences, thank you man.

i love this feature, especially that you can record mutes. i couldn't do that with my electribe. i haven't been using pad mute much because it cuts the audio tail. i've just been using slice sample with events. lots of slices for more subtle timing when working with track mutes. only just figured it out today with the thingy on and a bit of env releases :) seems to work well so far tho. (i had to amend that because i think i might having been talking bollocks) lol

So there is no way to stop the audio tails from cutting off when muting a track? This is a HUGE problem! When I go to mute let's say a one-shot orchestral hit, and the sound draws out for a second or so with the reverb tail, if I mute that track/sound, it cuts off everything. I just want the sound to mute, but still play the reverb tail and the rest of the audio tail of that sound... Does anyone know a way around this?...SBN RESONATE

@@natanmandala track mute doesn't cut the audio, it mutes midi notes. Pad mute cuts the audio. So I think your case track mute is what you're after.

Is there no way to stop 5:11 from happening with the sound getting completely cut off when you mute it? If there is no way to do this, I would have never got the MPC One. One of the main reasons I got the unit was for the mute functions, but I didn't know it cut off the sound completely. I am not trying to go into every sequence and erase every part that I would otherwise just mute while recording. Please, somebody tell me there's a way around this? If not, this is a very big mistake on Akai's part, and I am really dissapointed...SBN RESONATE
