My favorite feature of this equipment is it's ability to stay in permanent "secrecy mode" where you have access to a full range of never knowing when the hell this damn thing is going to be released.

If Akai included one built-in synth and did a deal with Izotope to include Ozone mastering, I would buy. As it is, why do I need the MPCX when I already have my Laptop? I want hardware to be truly independent, a one-stop solution. Since I have a Laptop setup, why would I waste $2200 on an MPCX if I can't get the job done entirely onboard? We're looking for a true workstation! No company has ever gone the whole hog, they always insist that we use a computer. I don't need a million DAWs and options, I just need a single competent music centre. Not so hard if they would just stop pissing around. Add one synth and a mastering plugin, then we'll be in the house.

MPC already has pans, solos, mutes. I think Roland's true advantage is its synths...if they included the Synth Plug-out system that could shake things up.

Question? I see you made the track outside of the MPCX 2.0 Software and then Closed your laptop. And then you brought the track over Cool. Know How do you revise this? I made a dummy track using stand alone 1st but then when I go out the box to the 2.0 Software I don't see my track at all. What Gives? Can you help me on this. Love The Video.

Dane F well, it's not really the sampling so much as wanting to hear what the A/D converters sound like on this machine. Also, it would be nice to see the sampling workflow. Not everyone has owned an MPC, so the process is still a mystery to some.

According to the online shops, I've gathered it will begin shipping in May/June 2017. 1 shop has it listed for 4-27-2017 another has it 5-11-2017. Not sure if I need this right now as my Maschine does everything I need...but this is badass and I would definitely get one If I didn't have my maschine...but the $799 vs $2199 is a huge disparity. For some the Audio inputs alone would be worth it. I don't really need that. If you get one..enjoy! #djrtnyc

I have a quenstion about the MPC X. I have a big modular with analog sequencer in it. For triggering the sequencer clock I use the cv gate of my analog four from which the clock can be changed into 6.5 volt, because the sequencer needs 6.5 volt to trigger.So, I can sync up all my gear due to the fact I can manually change the voltage in the elektron analog four. Is it also possible with the MPC X to change the voltage manually between 0 and 10 volts or is it not possible ? I connect Clock in from the analog sequencer to the the cv gate of the analog four. Hi there, In this instance you would simply press the "Bounce to Audio Track" option and it will Audio Render the track with the FX applied. It operates as a one touch feature. Kind regards, Gear4music

they don't have enough usb auxiliary inputs/outputs midi inputs and the screen is too long they should had made the machine long enough to fit the screen plus they should had made the q links like the renaissance with the lighting

MPC X Available by Christmas, not sure if 2017 or 2018 but hey Akai doesn't care it only cares about pre-orders.There should be a rule that you cannot advertise a product, lets say more than three months before its available if you do, then anyone who makes a pre-order gets a reduction for every week that its late, lets say 10% for the first week and then 5% every week after. That would solve this type of con instantly. Advertising False promises should be a crime.

Wow! Looks like another potentially awesome product from Akai. Too bad it is an Akai, (InMusic) these guys are crooks. This is another bait and switch flashy Akai video. Notice how they edit out all the interruptions in his workflow? Accidentally changed the pitch of his audio clip instead of changing the volume, "oh... uhhh made a mistake, look! You can also make this mistake, what an awesome feature!". Couldn't find his reverb... cut to 5 minutes later and "now I have my reverb going and look how smooth my workflow is"... If Andy Mac can't use the "X" seamlessly as the sales person and demo man, it isn't useable seamlessly. I really want to want this, but I have been burned too many times by Akai, M-audio, Alesis... (InMusic brands) to trust them.
