im looking at a used touch on ebay no registration no cds no software! ill need the date of when it was got from the shop right? an he dont have the ilok account ? so is this a dead mpc? or can i just download new software an go? thanks

I was trying to upgrade my mpc touch from 1.9.6 to 2.8 and it did not take. I had issues with it crashing and the touch screen would not work when it didn't crash. I went through and uninstalled every aspect of the installer and drivers and tried reinstalling but still couldn't get it to work. I reverted back to 1.9.6 in defeat at the moment. Any ideas on why this could be happening?

you wont its not a standalone! you need to buy the live to do that or get a 1000,2500,3000,4000,5000 60,2000,200xl

I just bought my MPC Touch last night and had a difficult time setting up the 2.0 software. The software downloaded perfectly fine to my MAC however the touch interface on the MPC acted like a mouse and wouldn't activate the menu or options in the menu and instead dragged the pointer on my computer screen. Any suggestions?? Please help!

I feel your pain. I just got the touch a few days ago and i dl'd the 1.9.6.1. and the 2.0 and now there is a 2.1. basically, it works like something that shouldn't cost over 100 dollars sans the pretty lights and cool touchscreen. i deleted everything and am about to re download everything. did you fix the problem? I dont know if i should just down load the 2.1?

macOS High Sierra does not yet support mirroring of DisplayLink screens. DisplayLink is the underlying technology that makes the MPC Touch screen work. For more information about DisplayLink support in macOS High Sierra see: bit.ly/2D4WCAj

you have to downgrade to el captain; one before sierra.

Good news. Support has confirmed it works on Mojave. Apple fixed the DisplayLink bug, so the MPC Touch will now work again on the latest OS.

You need a computer science degree to make a beat on these things. I have a Renaissance and Touch and they've become dust collectors in my lab. Couldn't get past this iLok thing

My question is this ... I know someone who wants to sell me a used MPC touch , but I don't understand how to get the software since he has already installed it into his computer . Is there a way to get the software for a used device ???

You'll be able to create a new registration for the unit as shown in the video, and get the software the same as if you purchased it new.

Have him delete the MPC account from ilok so you can install it on your computer. Every MPC comes with 2 license for 2 computers
