Akai Pro | Using MPC 2 & MPC Beats as a VST in Other DAWs

Akai really needs a VST3 version as soon as possible. The VST and AU for MPC 2 and Beats do not work in Studio One, Bitwig, and sometimes Ableton on MAC. I have contacted Akai and Presonus about the problem and they both blame each other for the problem.

🎉I had that problem for a year on Mac but it works now since I just updated Studio One and MPC 2 to the most recent versions. 🎉

The MPC vst does not appear in the list of plugins in Ableton, before anyone makes any silly suggestions, yes MPC 2 is fully installed, yes the MPC64.dll is in the correct folder. Beyond this there's no reason it's not showing up.

Make sure in the preferences for plugins in Ableton that vst2 plugins are enabled!

I take for granted that the upcoming MPC 3 will have vst 3 support? Please, AIR even put out a vst 3 version of their old instruments, like Xpand2.

My mpc 2 software doesn’t work properly with FL studio after I upgraded to the latest version on FL 21. My mpc beats is working but I’m missing the amount of audio tracks and and my mpc plugins

Has anyone managed to do this in FL studio. I made it work in Ableton but cant seem to do it in fl studio

I love my mpc but after my mpc not being able to connect to a computer and talking to Akai numerous times from them saying drivers aren't installed, but yet there installed, to purchasing new usb cables ..my unit won't connect to a computer and now I have to send my mpc to service? And most likely will have to pay for that service is ludicrous! I'm super annoyed with Akai

@G_ROBINSON89 no I never managed to get working i reinstalled windows and the software I'm good with computers but never managed to get working so never bothered using it again just use ableton now I'll wait to for the new MPC 3 software I'll try again

@@middz--no.1 I had that problem but then I scanned the steinberg folder in C:\Program Files/Steinberg. For some reason, you cant see the mpc vst when scanning via ableton but when you scan it, it shows up in ableton

Because you may want to use other vsts and the functions of your daw that you can't do within Beats alone. That's why I'm here. I'm trying to figure out how to have "multi out" to record.
