I've been having a difficult time setting up the potentiometer knobs and joystick controller to actually do anything noticeable. I love this piece of equipment and how portable it is, i just have to learn some more stuff like assigning what potentiometer does what.

Why when you put the notes on chords in the software the pads on the mpk won’t play the chords ? If I use the mouse or keys to pads and use the typing keys on my MacBook they play the chords but the mpk will not .

Got to go with the iRig keys 25 bro, it comes with an audio interface and a nicer key bed. The pads are better on the MPK but the iRig 25 would be the better choice! Hope this helped bro!🙏🏾👊🏾✌🏾

quick question man.. is it at all possible to sample with the midi keyboard. i got my hands on a audio technica turntable and was wondering the most cost effective option in terms of sampling sounds and making a beat of them off the same device, would this model be able to accomplish this?

What’s good Juan?! No sir! This is just a midi controller. It controls data from any type of music creation software that allows midi. To sample you would need a sampler like the MPC live for example. They do have cheap samplers out there that you could use to then bring that data into a software program like MPC Beats and then chop them using the MPK. That would be the only way to do this tho using this device. Sorry bro!🙏🏾👊🏾

@@larsozzsk7143 depending on what program you are using there is a setting for velocity setting - like most programs - except I like to make music in Nano Studio on the iPad which as far as I know doesn’t have. What program are you using?

@@larsozzsk7143 I’ve got FL Stidio and Abelton - Have you explored all the settings in FL settings? I think you can change the velocity to 100 which means no finger bashing! I’m not near the computer at the moment and only recently got FL and Abelton - once I have had a look I will get back to you - look up online about FL key Velocity
