Akali is an assassin, her kit makes sense, she goes in for a kill on a high priority target and then gets out like a ninja would. As an example, Zilean is some sort of time mage, his kit makes sense and in it's own right can be pretty busted in the right hands. Know your enemy, know what they can do and plan accordingly because there's always room for an outplay. Typically, the people I see complaining are those that don't have an adequate understanding of the champion. I see so many people disrespect a decent Akali via their positioning alone, whether she has protobelt or not. Her 2nd cast of E does a lot of burst damage but it's not fast enough that you can't use zhonya's against it or say for instance... the press of the R key when playing Lissandra or Tryndamere. As far as an ADC... yeah... whether she's fed or not... she's built to kill AD carries post level 6. So maybe consider sitting on flash for her E and consider a shield bow. Understand that she can R over another ally to reach her prime target and position accordingly. If she's fed, she's doesn't need her R to kill an ADC who's already blown their summoners. If she doesn't have blue and tries to kill a tanky top lane opponent post level 6... but wiffs her E or neglects to space out her empowered auto attacks... she isn't getting the kill because she lacks the energy or the damage to do so. That's why mid lane is her strongest position and in my opinion support role for her 2nd if the match up is good (no enemy support Lux/Morgana/Karma.). In the support role you may struggle until level 2 or 3 but after that you pressure via your positioning and punishing the enemies bad positioning. As support; post level 6 and for the rest of the game your job is assassinating the carry... you're setting the enemy ADC behind every time you pull it off. If your team can't pull off the win after successful assassinations like that then that's on them. Akali's greatest strength is being able to kill a squishy carry even when she's a bit behind post level 6... and then getting out alive. A decent Vladimir pick against an Akali is a good pick, he has a lot of health and his W if played right will deny her kills in lane against him. Vlad can also sustain himself better in big team fights, carrying the games he's in. A lot of the players I've seen play Akali will blow her shroud/W prematurely, particularly early to mid game; during a time when they're less susceptible to being bursted to death by a single fed/late game carry. Her E can only hit one target at a time and can be used on minions. Try to position so that she can wiff it on a minion but keep in mind she can more easily land it from level 6 on wards. Personally, if they're going to nerf her anywhere... I think they should have her R2 execute function more like the item "Collector". They could have the execute function apply to the initial target hit for a short duration after application so that if follow up damage from HER q or an auto attack is necessary... it can still proc the execute at 5% health if needed (non stacking with other executes). Enjoyed the watch.

Fun fact: Akali's gets Max R damage from the so called execute passive when the enemy is at least at 50% health. The actual percentage is around 30% but a single E will probably get you that low from half your hp.
