Did you get it yet? I just got the Lightning Ultra two days ago and now saw this.. I think I need to have one lol. What do you think of it so far? Also, Tuf-Glide on the blade and inner parts and it’s set for a decade probably.

@@Errcyco its a great knife, it feels denser and more compact/sturdier yet lighter than the lightning. The action is a bit stiffer than the lightning but feels faster, smoother and tighter.

Has anyone experience the blade getting dull really quick? I will sharpen it and then test the edge on a piece of paper and it gets dull while I'm cutting the paper.

I would say yes to EDC. As far as a impact, it shouldn't affect the function, but cosmetically...it's gonna chip and flake...that's gonna happen over time with use anyway. For 39...not a big deal to replace or buy more than one, but for the 59 regular price...honestly, I would probably pay a bit more for the boker Kakashnikov OTF. All that said, to get the full blown, lifetime OTF experience, you'll have to make a considerable investment, but you will know where that money went when you carry and use it, and it's gonna look amazing, even with wear. The big thing is that lifetime warranty that all the biggest OTF makers offer. Lightweight, tough as hell, backed for your peace of mind. Make your friends envious, but a big time target for thieves. The choice is yours. Good luck

@@matthewadler1329 thanks for the insight, I was actually considering getting the otf kalashnikov when I came across the boker plus dagger otf for a little cheaper. About the same blade size but handle is a little smaller which is fine by me I’ve never been fond of the large grip on the kalashnikov otf. Let me know what you think of the boker plus otf though.

OK....I'm new to OTF and have some Lightning ELITEs - How do these compare - YES, I know you don't like to maybe answer this kind of question but I won't order any until someone provides a comment - NOT trying to be a JERK!! YES, I know these are not Top-of-the-Line OTFs - How about....Pretty much equal Quality....Better....Not quite as good?? THANKS!!

The AKC F-20 and F-16 models are very comparable to the Lightning. Both offer fast and reliable firing action. The main difference is the handle and blade design. The akc is longer and more narrow. I find they are a little more comfortable in the pocket and the hand than the blocky Lightning. But I own several of both because I like both models a lot! These are easily the best OTFs you can find under $100.
