She was in a children's choir in LA. Both Finneas and her were. That's part of where her amazing harmonies come from. Also, if you watch her documentary, she actually has a section where she is filming in her backyard for how she wants the video for When the Party's Over to look like with her mom sitting where Billie will be. I think that video is the one where Billie decided that she needed to direct her own videos going forward.

Swarm is an Amazon Prime series. Billie is in ONE episode. And the movie that Maggie wrote was extremely small time. Wasn't a big budget film. It's called "Life Inside Out." The plot of the movie is this: "A middle-aged woman (Maggie Baird) rediscovers the passion she had for music during her youth and uses it to connect with her troubled teenage son (Finneas O'Connell), who soon discovers his own musical gifts."

This was a very cool spin on the series (they usually interview actors and their career). Billie is so refreshingly honest and authentic. You can tell she’s still so humble and surprised by her success. I’m so happy we live in the same time as her. She’s wonderful.

As others have said her parents were smallish players in Hollywood. Mom had small parts in Friends, Six Feet Under; Finneas was in Glee tv show and in that Cameron Diaz movie 'Bad Teacher'. But these were all smallish parts, just enough to pay their bills. With an edit to less songs (had 15-16?) 'Happier Than Ever could be even greater. It has some amazing songs.

lol billie’s mom was an actress but never in any big roles. she’s most known for having like three lines in one episode of friends.

Billie's parents are traveling stage actors, (mom) did some acting and teach acting at groundlings... so they always say they are working actors- who also do other things to pay for things like insurance, mortgage, kids' lessons and such...

lol no Maggie did not play any major roll in any major movie. That is NOT her in step brothers. That actress is Mary Steenburgen. Maggie was in one episode of Friends back in the 90's. And her screen time was a total of about 1 minute, lol.

The meow video on her concert is fake by the way someone made a montage with the sound from a Girl in red show where she did that as a joke. People are not meowing, just a couple of random people do that in the shows and it's not very funny cause people nat to hear her, this song is really special and hard to sing. Luckily most people don't actually do that
