Akira Bike Project - 02 - the road so far - part 2

Hey Akira Bike Project fans, welcome back! I hope you enjoyed part 1 of 'the road so far' series.
On to part two now, this includes is a major modification to the front end and move to a new shop. There's also includes a little bonus at the very end. Look for part 3 in about a week.
Follow along while I'm designing and building a fully functional high performance recumbent motorcycle inspired by Kaneda's ride in "Akira" in this ambitious motorcycle project.

Glad to see the project hasn't died. Just wondering how much rake angle your current design has. Keep it up the 1988 kid inside of us all needs to see more projects like this succeed!

Thanks! Yup still going now, picking up pace too! This has a 45 degree rake, it also has substantial offset from the leading link so the steering axis is close to the contact patch though.

@@Mirinmaru Thanks! Actually I have some videos coming up that will feature machining / welding / fabrication. I love This Old Tony as well as Clickspring, they are definitely my conceptual inspiration for filming technique, though don't expect them to be as good or me to be as entertaining as Tony, that guys a riot. I'll check out Wintergatan too, that one I'm not familiar with. Please stick around the channel, thanks for the good feedback.

@@matus1976 dude, I have stuck around for over a decade. I promise I'll stick around abother decade :D Wintergatan is the musician who built the marble machine if ypu know what that is. Awesome guy
