Both are different. This is Basil seed or Sabja seed used in drinks after soaking. In Kerala people call it Khus khus. But the Khus khus or Poppy seed used for cooking is totally different one. You are talking about that. You got confused with Basil seed and Poppy seed.

,hai saritha,, ശരിക്കുള്ള sakushukka ഇത്ര മസാല കാണില്ല.നമുക്ക് ഇന്ത്യൻ വേർഷൻ നന്നായി ഇഷ്ടപ്പെടും.അവർ ഉള്ളി,തക്കാളി, ജലോപ്പിനോ,വെള്ളുള്ളി,parsle (നമ്മുടെ മല്ലിയില പോലിരിക്കും,പക്ഷേ മണം വേറെ ആയിരിക്കും) പിന്നെ ഉപ്പും.വേണമെങ്കിൽ കുറച്ച് chilli flakes ചേർക്കും.ഒലീവ് ഓയിൽ ചേർത്ത് വഴറ്റി,മുട്ട പൊട്ടിച്ചൊഴിച്ചു വേവിക്കൽ ഒക്കെ ഇതുപോലെ തന്നെ.പിന്നെ അവർ ബ്രെഡ് /ബൺ ബട്ടർ തേച്ചു പാനിൽ ചൂടാക്കി എടുത്തു ,അതിൽ കുറേശ്ശെ പൊട്ടിച്ചെടുത്,നമ്മൾ ചപ്പാത്തി കഴിക്കുന്ന പോലെ അതി മുക്കി കഴിക്കുക ആണ് ചെയ്യുക.
