Thanks Paati...usually we make it on Krishna Jayanti...I make itba bit different and they say it comes out very well..i fry rice snd moong dhal in ghee....cook with water...put dry coconut grated...,jaggery and ghee...add milk,cardamom powder then garnish with only cashew,since raisins gives sourness...if it stands, the next morning tastes very good..but all open cooking...

Madam, thank you for recipe, I followed the instructions. The taste is amazing, but one problem even after boiling the the jaggery well and cooling it. When I added the pagu into the hot rice - the milk broke. How to avoid this mistake. Should both jaggery and rice be brought to room temperature.

Superb recipe along with Shravan's singing it's wonderful treat for both ears and eyes. Could you please clarify the honey consistency of jaggery means whether is it one string or on which stage I should switch off.

It’s not one string consistency. Just boil for 5 min till the raw smell goes off. The syrup will slightly become thicker like honey consistency.
