You have many good tips in this video. Also scanners are wrong sometimes due to human error converting the source code so having the factory manual and double check what codes mean from the source is good thing to do. Example I had 4L60E transmission code for air bag sensor per the manual and scanner said I had problem because the person who did the scanner firmware took codes for 4L80E transmission and applied them to the 4L60E as result from human error. I contacted technical support for scanner and they faxed me source manual codes and I spotted the error and advised them but the scanner maker refused to admit the error because the scanner maker would have had to recall and update the scanner firmware. A scanner error can cause excessive repair costs so be sure to validate codes and don't accept scanner results without double checking the sources that and validated such as the ones you mention in your video. I use all data do it yourself dot com myself for annual fee and find it worth the money. Also on line groups can be useful. I am member of astro safari dot com and looking for technical service bulletin (TSB) # ATRATB343 for my 1994 Astro van transmission problem. My subscription has expired so I plan to try to get TSB from the group or buy it if I don't have it in my files. As I recall the scanner error was code # 83 for the 4L60E unless I am mistaken. I like your video and I hope my feedback will give you some idea for future videos such as scanner errors that can make you go insane and the TSB # ATRATB343 details a problem that can also make a Chevy 4L60E owner go insane trying to repair. cheers!
