Akrapovic evolution on M3 E92

i swapped my bmw M performance inconel-titanium exhaust system for a complete titanium akrapovic evolution system....hear for yourself....it does not sound nearly as good as in real life....

the revving clip was filmed with a canon 5D mkII with a canon 70-200mm lens and the rest was recorded with a Gopro HD hero 2....all sound was recorded with a sennheiser mke-400 microphone

intake is all stock except a BMC air filter. the ECU is stock as well ;) although i think at the time when i made the video, i had a carbon fiber airbox installed.

well the built quality is first of all a lot better than the M performance exhaust. and the M-performance is known for cracking at the connecting points. honestly. i would always go for the evolution exhaust. i mean you could just mount back the stock exhaust for air-care. ( my parents are from BC ;) ) get the ESS software and delete the cold-start so your neighbors won't hate you. its really not crazy loud it just sounds good :)

Nice clip. Were you using a GoPro? I have the same exact system on my E92. Only thing that kind of annoys me is that with my AFE filter I get this over power intake hissing sound b/w 3.4-4k rpm. Couldnt really hear it in your video. Are you running the stock filter? I also have the ESS Akra tune and man you can really feel the increase of low end torque. Really makes the car run as it should be from the factory, Joe

why do you prefer this over M performance? I am thinking to get either M performance or slip on Akra, I want to make it louder and exotic metallic but not too loud what would you recommend? Thanks

no not really, i have a Mini JCW as a Daily Driver and that one drones REALLY bad. But with the M3 no problem. Some would say there is a little drone around 1000-2500 RPM, but its not the annoying kind of drone. at least it doesn't bother me.

Maybe your ears dude. I have the same with a BPM stage 2 tune and no drone ever at any revs. Maybe I is just lucky :)
