Hey Akruas, it would be awesome for a big BIG project to build something like a futuristic version of the Hanging Gardens of Babylon, with beautiful tropical gardens and lots of verticality, maybe even some areas held by cables. I think something big like this would fit well in this magnificent city ❤️

This actually looks so amazing. I was blown away at even the rocks on the smaller bay, one overhead shot made them look so realistic! Asturias reminds me a lot of Singapore, and if I had one recommendation I wish there were a few historical, standalone buildings near the waterfront, maybe celebrating where the founders landed first or something? Amazing work though!
@ultmateragnarok83762 жыл бұрын
The water looks amazing like that! I get what you mean - it doesn't look realistic, per say; to me it looks idealized. Asturis as a whole is an idealized build, with the futuristic technology, the solving and moving on from major problems of today, and the focus on things so desperately needed in today's world in such a way that they might well be taken for granted by the citizens there.
@Akruas2 жыл бұрын
Oh yes, that's the word - idealized.

Also, when you get to it, you should definitely have the air train fly through a building in some way. That would be awesome. Yes. The Central World is a mall, a very massive one. It's in Bangkok, Thailand. I hope someone would update the model though. There has been some changes to the Mall recently, the front of the mall where the fountain was is now a large Apple Store. The furthest right section has changed as well, but. There's an even bigger Central Mall though. It's called Central WestGate. Absolutely gigantic.

I thought there was a tool/mod somewhere that allows you to ban bikes only on specific roads/paths. If there was, Akruas definitely needs that.

Will you build older parts of the city? I understand much of the downtown/waterfront is futuristic, relatively new development, but I think it would be nice to see some old parts of Asturis further from the main core (maybe even an 'old town' with buildings from the 20th century).
@jasonlescalleet56112 жыл бұрын
This almost feels to me like a recently constructed city on another world, either a very earthlike one, or one terraformed to be earthlike. It might be interesting to see remnants of the earlier phases of colonization. Perhaps a spaceport that is abandoned now that there is the beanstalk and ships don’t need to actually land.
@donjon54422 жыл бұрын
@@jasonlescalleet5611 That’d be really cool but I’m not sure it really looks futuristic enough for something that Sci-Fi. I think it looks more like one of those multi billion eco cities you see governments talking about where they plan to go out in the middle of nowhere and build these new futuristic cities, except here they’ve actually gone through with their plans lmao

@@donjon5442 I think even with these sorts of cities, there are signs of neglect and it would be really cool to see those reflected in Asturis to further the lore of the city.

@frogdoctor91482 жыл бұрын
@@IlIlIlIlIlIlIlIlIlIlIlIlIl_I Not American, obviously buildings from the 20th century aren't considered an old town right now, but Asturis is set in the future, and therefore buildings from that time would likely be considered old. Hence, "old town" is in quotation marks to show that the notion of an old town is completely different in the future.

AFAIK, light pollution is only really a problem for astronomers and any creature that relies on seeing stars/constellations to navigate - which, AFAIK, are rare and probably not found on tropical regions like where Asturis is supposedly set. So any would be stargazers of Asturis would have to go faaaar away from the city to get a clearer night sky; good thing Asturis has a high speed train connection.

I dont know if its possible to make a parking lot on top of buildings (going crazy with ideias rn), maybe an elevator for cars?
@Akruas2 жыл бұрын
If I don't want parked cars I just use narrow streets, but somewhere cars add some details. Exactly the same with parking lots. I won't do underground since its kinda pointless when I don't do realistic parking. Parking spaces only work on ground, there are some in WS that can be elevated but cars don't use those for me, so no lots on roofs etc.
