The corporate income tax is already extremely high for a country like India. Instead, congress will increase yearly house tax, EB charges, real estate registration charges, Bank transaction charges, increase in train ticket. But there will be increase in pay for government employees alone and private employees have to take the brunt again. The poor people as usual will receive free bus ticket, free rations, free festival bonus, free scholarship in collages and so on. This happens every time after the election is over, no matter whoever wins the election, like BJP or congress or a third front, these things have been increasing every 4 years, for the past 24 years, since the year 2000. All the political parties like BJP, Congress, Trinamool congress, CPMI, Janata Dal, Aam Aadmi, will always target lower and normal middleclass. The only way for India to improve is to abolish personal income tax and include tax or GST in all the consumer products, services, bank transactions and other corporate or institutional transactions, for all products like Food products, Home Appliances, hardware materials, electronic products, automobiles and so on, NOT MORE THAN 5%, as the RBI in India has already printed more than 5 lakh crore twice, once in 2008 and then in 2020. If the government can print money then what is the use of personal income taxation. Also if personal income tax is abolished then people will start to spend and invest more without any burden.

Note ban primary objective was to curb the illegal money, but not the online payment system, And that time, goverment didn't make any arrangements for the common man to do the online payment, common adapt themselves. Where people with 2g phone connection, forced to move touchscreen phones adapt. It is an added boon for government, which suppose to happen inevitably, but happened at a faster pace. As a prime minister of India, he makes many irresponsible statements, which is shameful, disgusting..only to get vote. They do the same politics of British, divide and rule. You need to think out of the box to see it. You don't see the 8000 crore electoral bond kickbacks officially, and how much more unofficially. Change is always good, rotation of government is good for the country, other than keeping with same party or allegiance.

@@Find_yourself789Well, it is because, the standard of democracy is low in India, we don't see any financial and political policy debate of our representative. Even media is junk nowadays. When there is quality debate, in media and in upper and lower house, then only good policy may come. Democracy in India is kind of threatened, in last five years, many state governments are toppled with shear power of money and political power, which is scary. Something pointing to the outcome of dictatorship. Now centre is overpowering states, or only support states of there allaince, if you see the allocation of centre fund you can see it. There is a saying in Malayalam vedakaki thanikakuka. Although there is no good alternative, choose the best. Like Newton's third law, even though they spent heavily on infrastructure, our debt increased 100 billion dollars in the last decade. More than twice since independence, which is alarming.

Congress has promised lot of Freebies, if they come to power two things can happen 1) Increase the corporate/income taxes in order to compensate the freebies 2) Or Print the money (Don't know if its possible in india) In case 1 : Stock markets will fall In case 2: Stock market will rally in the short run but inflation will also rally Its better BJP wins again. Its just my opinion, I am neither in favor of BJP nor in favor of congress.

Won't that cash in poor people's hand raise consumption and create some demand leading to a cascading effect in market? Isn't distribution of money in multiple hands instead of concentrating in a few, good for market? Also if consumption increases, GST will rise and corporate taxes were eased in expectation of rise in employment which companies didn't do, then why should it not be brought to the previous level?

Hope BJP looses. If they win STCG and LTCG will be taxed at marginal rate. BJP is out to loot the middle class and give to the poor and and rich people. If congress comes rich will be looted and given to Middle class and the poor. So9 you decide where your interest is and vote. By just giving money inflation soars up. So to strike a balance you have to make sure the supply side of the economy works fine and for that to happened you need infra and industrial growth. Just giving money won't work so all and all BJP is better for economy congress is gonna cause price hike and fiscal deficite only

I disagree on your view that Indian market is fairly valued and not overvalued. Akshat, our market is around all time high and most of the stocks are over priced. Nifty is managed by the Govt i.e. through DII buying when FII are selling. So the correct picture is not visuble to us. Further Govt may be bluffing on the figures of Inflation, GDP etc and market is responding to wrong information.

There is a metric called PE for a reason, it doesn't matter if market is at all time high or low, Earnings could have gone up too right, so PE gives an understanding of how much the market is valued now.

So, I don't understand the problem. On one end you are saying respect others opinion and on the other end you are saying people doing BJP BJP - Congress Congress. If someone is saying BJP BJP and other is saying Congress Congress, then you should not have any problem with it and respect other opinion and choice. Also, people know a days assume certain words as negative like politics, polarization, majoritarianism etc. How does any political party win election, it is by rallying people behind thier party and compare and tell how other party is wrong for you. It literaly means polarization, it is natural outcome of the political landscape of any country. Polarization is natural outcome of eletoral process itself, how does it become wrong. Are you suggesting, we shall do a lucky draw every 5 years in a election, i am pretty sure then there will be no polarization? Also, I have seen people talk about majoritarianism, the election process and democracy have inherent feature in built which favours who so ever is more in numbers in terms of support. How come majoritarianism become bad if democracy is right? Polarization and majoritarianism is simply byproduct and inallianable part of democracy itself.

This is not the India Shining campaign of 2004 and even then, despite a good BJP government that was voted out, the markets went up soon after the May bloodbath. Markets don't go up because of a government. I'm not denying that certain governments are better for markets in the long term but that is a multiyear thing.

Hi Akshat. Having heard this video and one of the old videos where you had mentioned that entire market,except Private Banking stocks, is in Bull run. Of late even HDFC Bank has started moving. Is this sign of market moving towards Euphoria ? If yes, typically for how long does Euphoria phase lasts ? Markets factor in the fall and correction follows Euphoria.
