I'm cured from AKU. Did a little walk with the KS14 due to the Meindls drying. The AKU nearly kil..led me. Blisters galore - some of them even infected due to the skin ripped off inside the boot. My feet and the AKU KS14 are just not pairing up. The AKUs have to go. Trying to sell them (maybe i'm lucky). Gotten me - out of curiosity - a pair of surplus (thanks Bundeswehr) Lowa "Elite Evo GTX" and Baltes "tropical boots". Since walking outside in them is just unthinkable atm, i just worn them inside the house, but they both feel SO much better than the KS14 (actually even better than the Meindls i gotten recently)

@@RedBranchBushcraft yeah last time i had such big blisters, i was in week 4 of basic when we had to wear the 2nd pair of KS90 (Minerva) the first time, and that was the day of the 10km-march. (i still see the area where THAT blister was, under the heel, there is - 24 years later - still a "crater", that blister went a big deeper than the one on the heel from the AKU... (back then, you've gotten ONE pair of KS90 for breaking them in before service, and a 2nd pair starting basic. then you'd worn the 2nd pair on command to break them in; sadly, my platoon-leader from back then was a sadistic piece of sh... for planning this way (or a complete moron. both could be possible tbh)...)
