Just bought my second pair. Extremely comfortable. First pair lasted a year, 5 days a week for work, before the sole started to wear down. The rest of the boot is still in great condition and still waterproof, so hoping to get them re-soled. I take a size 12.5 in these (half sized up, to allow for feet swelling). Sport pursuit have new stock in, and currently £120 including delivery.

They're so lightweight and springy, easily the best boots I've ever owned! I work in Kennels and have abused mine for almost 2 years. They're still very comfy, breathable and mostly water-resistant despite 2 small holes in the outer fabric. The sole has worn down a lot but is plenty grippy enough on polished floors and mud. The only weak point is the inner fabric eyelets eventually ripped at around 18 months (possibly exaggerated due to the chemicals I work with).

Hello. I have Aku pilgrim size 10, are they the same size as these? Are they wide enough across the foot? Thanks for help.

Just got a pair. Think they look bloody awesome 😎 really comfortable so far around the house. Only thing is one foot is slightly bigger than the other so feels a little big. But not AKU fault. Slightly stiff upper but I assume that will break in. Anyway lovely boot !

Nice to see a review on this style - I've had the Aku Pilgrim GTX, which I found quite comfortable but the sole's too slippery in real (Canada) winter. But the real question - have they had to undergo the Bruno chew-toy test?

I’m a analog, Luddite environmeddler, take a look see at William Lennon LTDs leather boots. I have the Canadian, saving for a hill shoe or HOBNAIL just to irritate the ultralight crowd. I get the most upset looks, pulling out those glass bottles if lime Perrier.

I get issued the aku pilgrim in work. Find the sole to be very hard. Are these softer and more comfortable?
@RedBranchBushcraft3 ай бұрын
@@harrisonqfb yes, very different boots

Used them for about a month and they didn't work for me. They have very little arch support so my plantar muscles had to work pretty hard either walking or standing. By the end of the day, my feet hurt so badly that I felt like I was on the edge of getting plantar fasciitis. I own boots from Salomon, Lowa, and Danner. None of them have this issue. I replaced the insoles with ones that have arch support and they felt a lot better. These should be fine with single-day hikes with light loads but I don't recommend backpacking in these
