Love the Reverand Al! I'm not at all religious but I would go to his church just to hear him sing. His notes float like a butterfly. And this just happens to be my fave song by him. I have mad love for Bonnie too!

True story . Al lived on our block back in the sixties , he dated my best friend and we had many many great house parities ,before he became well known ! Great fun memories .

A song written in 1974 after Al Green's girlfriend assaulted him and then killed herself. So sad. What an amazing assortment of superior talent. With the slide guitar Queen Bonnie, she just is unbelievable in leading the band to rock this song. Al Green's vocals are magical and deliver a sermon of his greatness.
