There's a monument marking the end of PRC China in Hainan. Essentially Phillipines needs Ukraine army, navy and air force of drones which are so small, intelligent and effective that they can fit inside shipping containers. Freedom of the Seas is essential to trillions of world trade and PRC China blockading this trade threatens the necessities of life for the whole world. Something like NATO for Freedom of Seas is required. PRC China hegemony could be disastrous.

I absolutely and totally agree. We aren't logistically able to match and might never be able to do so as these defense sea going vessels are very costly. But we can do with what we have and employ defensive and armed kamikaze drones. It doesn't cost as much and can attain as much damage as conventional arms if not more and in a very swift manner. We should hire those Ukranian drone pilots to train our coast guard.

When the US bases are still in the Philippines the Chinese are too cautious to build something on those reefs, islands and shoals but when the American bases left in early 90's that's when the Chinese started building structures there

@@rcm8881 there are 4 or 5 new joint usa philippine bases that have been built in last year. But not on man made island. Islands that were there alrrady And more to come. With air strips that are long enough to handle most of the u.s. assets. Subic bay is seeing alot more u.s. naval assets as well and as for the joint bases the are well armed with missle assets for ground to air a for taking out naval assets if need be. 10 years back i use to see u.s. naval ships passing by when i lived in surigao but not alot now i hear they are alot more common.
