Many hours of my youth playing this successful series.

The music takes me back to 1991 so much! I will have been 7 years old playing this on my friend's dads Amiga. Feels like a lifetime ago.

My gran used to play this and had the level codes on a bit of paper by the Amiga. Back in the day of Total. and also Nintendo magazine. I also used to play the Turtles game on the Amiga and think it was the Nagano winter olympics. I miss my Gran!

Impossible not to let your eyes travel up the cascade one as the undulations create an illusion of speedy lemmings.

This game needs a remake. Very good and very addictive.

There are several remakes, have you looked? Limini is a Java app that runs anywhere a JRE can be installed. You will need the original Win95 version of the game files, which are freely downloadable. There are other platform-specific remakes of it as well. Teh goog is yr friend.

There's the 2006 PSP remake (not to be confused by the PS3 sequel) made by Team17.

Great longplay there. Love it when you get into the tricky levels, they take a little longer generally and I get to hear the full music pieces looping a few times. Truly one of the best games ever made, ever. Still sitting out there in a genre all on its own, neat little sort of action puzler.

I remember having this on my Amiga back in the day, albeit a cracked version that gave unlimited power usage and 0% needed to clear levels. Many days were spent constantly nuking to clear stages and using bashers to break through steel bricks.

I used to love playing this game on the game gear. I didn't get very far though. But it was fun.

"Scott Johnston (Hired Guns) was creating the graphics for Walker and drawing the little men for the machine to shoot at in a 16 x 16 pixel box. I said that they could be done in 8 x 8 pixels so one lunchtime I set about trying to prove him wrong. The resulting image, which only took an hour or so to make, was the beginning of Lemmings. We had a huge amount of fun; challenging each other to our latest, virtually impossible level, while at the same time loving every second of its development. Only towards the end did we even consider that others were going to play it, and that we should probably do something about the difficulty level." -- Mike Dailly, co-designer (Lemmings - Amiga)

I have more nostalgia for the SNES one, but this is easy the best version of the classic puzzle game with better controls, no slowdown and uncensored unlike SNES version. I also miss Scottish devs DMA Design :-)
