I always thought this concept deserved more development. I think it’s got really great bones - it just doesn’t have enough meat on them. I like the idea of a fixed loadout that requires strategy. It definitely ups replay value. I think they tried to flesh it out more with the SNES version, but it still feels lacking, especially in the graphics and sound department. I think someone like Inti Creates or the guys behind Satazius and Gigantic Army could do a good job of a modern take on this.
