Joel Klatt barely avoids saying I told you so after he predicted the Tennessee Volunteers would come out on top against Alabama Crimson Tide. The two talk the highlights of that game, and what it says about Alabama's ability to stay top dog in the SEC. Plus, the Michigan Wolverines have a bye this week, but Klatt tells Colin what he likes about their program heading into a big match up against the Michigan State Spartans. They also review Klatt's Top 10 NCAA teams, and share their thoughts on USC Trojan's first loss of the season.

@@Datníğğa123 No they really aren’t. Tennessee lost 15 consecutive games to the Crimson Tide in the Nick Saban era, the Crimson Tide had Young playing, and the Crimson Tide have a great defense that realistically could have held the Volunteers to under 30 points. Tennessee never faced a great defense like Alabama before they played Alabama. Utah lost to a rebuilding Florida team. It’s going against the grain to pick them to defeat a playing great USC team that hasn’t lost a game before playing Utah.

I wish I had the confidence of Cowherd. As an SC fan, I'm good with 10+ win season and playing for pac12 championship largely because of their lack of depth. Playoffs seems unrealistic for this year Next year different story! The fact we can even talk about playoffs shows how much better we are this year. Last year the team was 4-8. Only thing we were talking about were historic things opponents were doing to our team. ✌️ I'm no fan of UCLA but much respect to their very good team this year.

Next year, more recruits, more depth and this squad will have a year playing together, so our chances are good!

Colin, as an Iowa Hawkeye fan, I want to apologize. I used to get upset when a few years ago you began calling Iowa out on being fake and not legit. I think you could see what most of us Hawk fans weren’t seeing. That system and philosophy Kirk (and his inept son Brian) run is so outdated that it’s fully caught up with this football program. Most if not all Hawkeye fans are completely disgusted and disgruntled by what Kirk is allowing to happen there and we want to move on from him now. We will never be the Alabamas, USC’s, Ohio State’s….but we aren’t even close to what good solid Iowa football is anymore. We are a college football meme now. Hope you do a segment discussing Iowa’s offensive woes and further expose AD Barta & the Ferentz regime. Thanks Colin great show as always. Iowa fans don’t hate you and sorry for my bitterness several years ago when you were right lol.

A 1 loss Power 5 conference champ has NEVER been excluded. If USC wins out they’re in. Only scenario would be SEC/ACC/B10/B12 champs all going undefeated. Which obviously won’t happen. Here’s the criteria. 1. Take all power 5 or ND undefeated teams(by definition conf champs). 2. Take all 1 loss power 5 conference champs 3. Take 1 loss power 5(or ND) non champs. That’s it. Wake forest has one of the best offenses in the country. People love to pretend theyre some sort of terrible team. Also people say this literally every time they go to the playoff. Clemson smashed the “greatest bama team ever” and people were crying saying they shouldnt have been there because the other teams in their conference werent very good.

@@MegaSamUwell I never said Clemson didn’t have great teams. I said they have the easiest path to the playoffs every year by being in the worst conference. If they were in the SEC or Big10 they still would have had those great teams, but they wouldn’t have made 6 straight playoffs. And I have no idea how good Wake Forest is. Outside of Clemson they’ve played VMI, Vanderbilt, Liberty, Army,and FSU.

As a Michigan fan, I used to be very critical of Harbaugh. I called for him to be fired after 2019, I definitely called for him to be fired after 2020, and I wasn’t happy with him last year after the Michigan State game. With that being said, he is without a doubt the most decorated coach in football, aside from Saban and Belichick. The difference between him and Saban, however, is Harbaugh actually had success at the NFL level

@@polo4941 I don't necessarily agree with that. It's mainly self-inflicted issues in the 3 close games. Texas - 15 penalties through 3 quarters. TAMU - 4 turnovers and bad penalties. Tennessee - 17 penalties and some questionable officiating. If Alabama played Tennessee again tomorrow, Alabama would be favored. Tennessee is good, don't get me wrong, but anyone not blinded by Alabama hatred or fatigue knows Alabama is better.
@zachmcmahan8481
@zachmcmahan8481 Жыл бұрын
Garrison how do you know Alabama is better when you haven’t even seen Tennessee at full strength? We were missing several players on defense as well as our best offensive weapon in Cedric Tillman who went for 150 yards on 7 catches against Bama last year and still managed to scrape out a win. I’m a Vol fan but I love Saban and have a healthy respect for Alabama. That being said Tennessee had some “questionable officiating” go against them as well and Alabama have been struggling with penalties before kickoff on Saturday. Tennessee also gifted Alabama with 7 free points on that muffed handoff.
@DaDankStrafe
@DaDankStrafe Жыл бұрын
@@zachmcmahan8481 Not sure what scientific information you're looking for me to give you. All I know is that any bookmaker would still have Alabama as a considerable favorite to beat Tennessee if they played again next week. You can choose to deny that if you want, but it's 100% true.

Joel Klatt's college football commentary is amazing, and I watch all of his stuff. But how can he say that Oregon doesn't have balance like UCLA???? Oregon is averaging 270.8 YPG passing and 241.7 YPG rushing and is 53% run-pass. Meanwhile UCLA averages 294.2 YPG passing and 211.5 YPG rushing and is 55% run-pass. Oregon is a more balanced team based on the stats. I would agree that DTR and Charbonnet might be the 2 best players in this game, but Oregon is definitely balanced.
