Alabama single handily saved Country Music in the 1980’s. I was a hard core Rock guy, but you couldn’t help but love Alabama. When it was a Friday night after the football game, and we were hanging out by the bonfire, tossing back some Budweisers, someone would put this song on their Pioneer car stereo, and just like that, this Rush, Journey, AC/DC, REO Speedwagon, Van Halen, and Sammy Hagar fan is singing this song at the top of my lungs along with 20 or so HS classmates and teammates! These were 4 extremely talented guys who gave us such a wonderful gift of their music. Thanks guys, this Rocker loves and appreciates your music.

We were dirt poor, never even had a air conditioner which was bout unheard of in the 80s, but listening to some Alabama on the creek hunting crawdads, while my folks watched Alabama play on sat morning, butter beans & cornbread for dinner w some stewed okra😁 alot simpler back then, growing up sucks!!

They are my all time favorite Country band ever. All of their songs are always hits to me. And they were a big help to Columbia, SC the time when Hurricane Hugo hit this state and they came and did a free concert for the city all they asked for was people to bring cans of food to give to those who were hardest hit by this bad Hurricane. Also, when Hurricane Hugo came in it knocked out all of the other radio stations in the state and city except one. WCOS The Great 98 they played their concert live on the radio. It was awesome. My family didnt have electricity for almost a month but I had this old portable radio and the only station I could get was WCOS and I had that radio blasting all night it made it easier for me to sleep.

Randy Owen is the absolute best singer and a very kind man. I worked at Bojangles in Fort Payne many years ago as a teenager, and he would come in the drive-thru window and treat us all like family. He gave me chocolate coins one Christmas. Many years ago!!

I grew up listening to this band and Alabama made me into a country music fan. I have seen them in concert many times and attended many June Jams in their home town of Ft Payne but my mother takes the cake. She attended over 200 Alabama concerts and every June Jam. She passed away 3 years ago and every time I play Alabama I feel like she is right there with me. She left behind a box full of alabama concerts recorded on cassettes and signed memorabilia, pictures and more. Mom met Randy's aunt at the Alabama fan club and became good friends. the lady was as country as you get and was up there in age but she would correspond with mom through the mail(imagine that) and when my daughter was born she sent a letter and a UPS delivery. Upon opening the box we found a hand quilted blanket she quilted for my daughters 1st Birthday which was amazing and done by her very hand. It was very nice and took a lot of work obviously. Hard to find people like that anymore and we still have the blanket 9 years later and it is has never been slept on. They sold more albums than he Beatles and at one point had something like 21 straight number 1 songs. They wrote most the music themselves. These new acts are not the real deal like these guys were and Alabama has to be the greatest country band of all time just based on the 42 number one singles. I hope to catch them 1 more time in concert before it is all said and done but that may not happen with the members getting up in age. They were named entertainers of the year many times because their concerts sounded like the music on the album and they really knew how to put on a show. He broke the mold when god created these guys.

You have some great memories and treasures. My dad was a long haul trucker....i got to go with him in the summers for runs...owner/operator....best show I ever saw....Alabama rolled into a truck stop and shut it down...everyone there was treated to an impromptu concert. 18 wheeler had just come out.... one of the best shows I was lucky enough to see.

Can't wait until June 3rd, Roanoke VA. Have my tickets as I wanted 5th row in the middle on the floor ! My husband & I used to get up where they had the cameras & flat foot to this one.. we went to so many nearby whenever you came our way. You guys were the last concert we went together before he passed suddenly,May 2007 ( so young, my soul mate ) I swear he was a remake of Randy Owen. I've had a picture of him above my laptop for YEARS & YEARS with him sitting in his Z 28 camaro in the drivier seat with the window behind him soaking wet where it was pouring rain when we left the Civic Center and he's got his shirt off holding it up to me and of it has the emblem in white & ALABAMA in the middle of a black T shirt he was wearing with a huge smile on his face. I know he's watching me & so proud of me. I just PRAY somehow, some way I can get an autograph. Don't quite know how to go about that. I LOVE YOU GUYS ! Alway decorate for Christmas with your CDs & have the Speakers on outside also so the neighbors can hear you also. There will never, ever be anyone s good as you guys !
