The base for this sauce is pretty much exactly what I use for my sandwich spread; mayo, spicy mustard, and apple cider vinegar. I don't spice it up much, though. Just some salt and pepper and I mix in shredded lettuce until it has the right consistency. Great general purpose sauce for sandwiches or burgers.

So is this something you can cook with, like when you'd caramelize tomato based BBQ sauce into ribs? Or does the mayo base not work for that? Is this more of an after cook condiment?

Nice one! We have a similiar White BBQ Sauce in Germany, too. Might be even a bit older than your recepie!? But I am not sure about that! :) Anyway: I use my own homemade mayonnaise for it. But I am not sure if homemade mayo is a thing in the US as it contains raw eggs. As far as I know - and please (!) correct me if I am wrong - you guys in the US have some "issues" with your eggs, right? In Germany we don't wash our eggs and don't (!) put them in the fridge as there is no need to. Our raw eggs can be stored at room temperature up to 3 weeks ... if you put them into the fridge up to 7 or 8 weeks, of course. Nevermind and anyway! It just came up my mind, that the mayo isn't home made ... or is this brand one of your sponsors? o_O Cheers from Germany and thanks for the video! :)
