Coach talking about how their players couldn't play for Bama yet Bama was not dominating them really reminded me of Coach Bryant's speech to freshmen. He said that if an 85 guy played down to a 75 on a given day, a 75 guy could play well and beat him, or something like that. This was a great experience that this team needed, ala Georgia Southern in 2011.

Give up trying to sound like a coach or "Coach!" (or a knowledgeable football fan) There is no such thing as a 'shrink play' in football. What he said was the other team was trying to limit Alabama's opportunities to have offensive possessions by running a slow, ball control offense to try to run the clock. That is sometimes called 'shrinking the game'. Has nothing to do with a kind of play.

Where are all the so called fans who thought Tua shouldn't play today? I just wanna say credit to Citadel, they played very, very well, and that wishbone/option attack was run just about as good as any team could execute that style of offense. And hats off to our defense, for responding and taking care of buisness. But that being said, i agree with coach Saban about the cut blocks being dangerous, and I don't understand why there isnt a rule to make players safety first. You can say what you want, that is dangerous not only for the opposing team, but also the teams trying to cut block. That was the most cut blocking I have ever seen since the late 80s. It was crazy, but oh well, mabe one day they will try and keep players from getting their knees separated in the future. Or have to deal with concussions that WILL happen the more a player cut blocks, because alot of concussions come from a player hitting his head on a knee, or when he throws himself down for the block and his head hits the ground. And back to the ppl who said "Rest Tua, it's a mistake to play him" Uh we probrably would have won 24-17, and then what? I am glad Tua played, and I am VERY happy to see Jalen play like he did. Everything is gonna be fine! And man! I loved the way the fans respond when Jalen comes in the game, we the fans think the world of Jalen, and appreciate him staying this season. And also let me say that thus team is probrably the most unified team I've seen since Saban has been at Bama, they went to Damien Harris's side, they Help Tua all the time, they care about each other, and even when the kickers miss extra points like today, they lift em up, and make sure they didn't sit by themselves. This is a really tight knit group, and it's going to be hard pressed for me to think they ain't winning the Natty this season. They have that IT factor more than any group so far. Disagree? I thought that if Tua was able to play, he should have played long enough to get a 2-3 TD lead like Bama usually does. But the score was too close to do that. From what I read around the internet over the last week, Tua's knee was not that bad. It was the brace he had to wear that bothered him more than the soreness did. He showed today that he's pretty much healed. He did better without the knee brace.

When I fell on the driveway. I remember the back of my head bouncing off the concrete and waking up feeling like I had been hit with a sledgehammer. Concussions are no joke. This last one took nearly a year to get over. I'm still having some issues. Praying Damien Harris will be okay.

Glad to see Tua moving better than he has in the last month or so, he looked very focused. The ovation given to Jalen was deafening in that stadium, even with less than full capacity in the stadium. The team, as a whole, came out the second half and looked like their usual selves. Big game next week, RTR!

@@MaximusWolfe Yep, late in the game, when MD scored the go-ahead TD and then let OSU run back the next kickoff to midfield, I could tell that OSU was going to tie it up and send it to OT. What MD should have done on their last scoring drive down near the goal line, they should have ran more running plays to eat the clock before scoring. Their incomplete passes stopped the clock and left OSU enough time to come back and tie it up. Having said that, I think OSU played its way out of playoff consideration, even though they won. A playoff contender shouldn't let a 5-5 team that just fired their coach get anywhere near beating them.

The score was tie 10-10 in the 3rd qtr at the 10 min mark. Then Bama drops 40 pts in 1 & 1/2 quarters. Why did the OC wait so long to turn the offense loose? No way it should've been tied in the 3rd. That game should've been a blow out by half time.

Remember, one of Bama's TDs was the fumble return. I don't think that Bama held their offense back. One drive was killed when Jeudy had the ball stripped from behind. Later, they went for a FG on 4th and 2 when they probably could have scored a TD. It just took awhile for the offense to get rolling.

The Citadel kept nickel and diming yardage and eating up the time as well as the fact that they ran the difficult to defend triple option play . Their time of possession the 1st half was 19:14 compared to Bama's 10:46. Plus Jeudy's fumble played a big role in giving The Citadel offense more time to execute that damn option.

Auburn, however, lost four other games, while Bama went on to win the national championship.
