Alan Douglas was one of the best. Use to listen to his late night radio show in the 60s on 1100 AM in Cleveland.

He truly was the best... He was my grandfather... my sister and I would go to the studio with him on occasion. He always treated us like gold. Great memories.

Back in the late 60's when Allen Douglas had his radio show I called in when he had Betty and Barney Hill on and ask a question about their car. I wanted to know if he saw anything strange about it after the obduction. Barney said yes it has small polished circles the size of silver dollars on it.

January 3, 1972: WEWS introduces The Morning Exchange, which was originally called The Alan Douglas Morning Exchange, created by Donald L. Perris and William F. Baker, and hosted by Alan Douglas. The show used a traditional news desk with Don Webster as the announcer, and Joel Rose read the news. March 1972: Don Webster leaves WEWS, and Liz Richards joins The Morning Exchange as co-host and weather reporter. July 1972: Alan Douglas leaves WEWS, and Fred Griffith joins The Morning Exchange as the host; The show was renamed The Morning Exchange, removing Alan Douglas from the show's title. August 1972: The news desk was removed, and the set resembles a living room, where Griffith, Richards, and Rose sat on couches. March 16, 1979: Liz Richards leaves The Morning Exchange after 7 years with WEWS. 1984: Joel Rose leaves WEWS to start his radio talk show on WJW 850 AM. 1995: The show expanded to weekends as The Weekend Exchange, hosted by Leon Bibb, and airs every Saturday and Sunday. 1998: The show was retitled Today's Morning Exchange, replacing "The" from the show's title. September 10, 1999: Today's Morning Exchange ends its run on WEWS. After 27 seasons, The Morning Exchange was removed from the schedule. 👍

I thoroughly enjoyed Alan Douglas' radio talk show on WKYC Radio 11 (now WTAM) during the '60's, and was a long time fan. He was knowledgeable and objective.

That's Leon Bibb, the longtime Channel 5 Evening News anchor...they probably added his voice onto the old video clip at WEWS before whoever posted here at KZbin.

Yes, Bill Baker was Douglas' long time producer, whom Douglas always credited. He went on to host a radio talk show in New York, didn't he?

Was the name of his radio show bumper tune "Whatever Happened to Them?" and where can I find this quaint piece?

Who was the WEWS announcer in the beginning of the intro?
