Finally, yesterday evening it happened: I went to meet two friends of mine and a few cold ones. After a while The conversation led us into the topic British humour/comedy Tv-series, and if we “had to choose” one absolute favourite out of em all, which series/would that be. One of them came to the conclusion she held MP’s Flying Circus dearest, the other gal informed us that her choice most likely would be Hale and Pace. I were in good mood, had some extra cash available to burn, so I found it somewhat interesting and worth try a nonverbal form of answer. I excused myself and said I’d first just wanted to buy us a new round from the bar and come back with my choice of comedy favourite. I got in line and when my turn came, I ordered “Three Ladyboys”. The bartender weren’t quite sure if he knew how to make it and asked if I could assist with info on how to make it. To make it easy, I ordered 3pints of beer, 3 GTs and 3 bailey’s and congratulated the bartender on how splendidly well he had made his first three ladyboys ever. He then helped me carrying the order over to the table, and I sat down with my friends again. Contrary to what I thought really would come out of it, I were positively surprised when, after a few seconds of them both just looking at the drinks standing in front of us, when the eyes of one of the two lighted where she shortly after shouted out “I’m Alan Partridge!!”. Just one of those moments where the mix of good friends, alcohol and a shared fondness of good comedy becomes a short moment of perfection and laughter. In short: I’m Allan Partridge is my all time favourite from the world of tv comedy 🤩
