The thing is, Alan Jackson is just one of those guys that is just consistent when it comes to hit after hit after hit. And he makes it seem so easy. His voice is just hypnotic, and it pulls you in and when you watch him sing, it's as effortlessly for him as speaking is for most people. It just flows. Sadly, he has Charcot-Marie-Tooth Disease, which genetic neuropathy and neurological disease that his father had and it is already he said causing him to have issues with his balance. It's not fatal but it is something which will get progressively worse, although he says as of now, he has no plans to stop touring.

Great reaction to the “bourbon” 😂 watch as many Alan Jackson song or hymn you can soak in. With his debilitating medical issues he is dealing with has caused him to retire from music. The same diagnosis took his father from them. His mom begged him to do a gospel album for her and he always told her I’ll get to it momma, but with his busy schedule/touring it took him a long time to make one, but he did one for her.

Not only did he have a bunch of girls, but he grew up in a house full of sisters and no brother. His parents house was basically a little tool shed that they started building and adding onto. He slept in the hallway.. But he said he did have a twin bed in the hallway.

A lot of singers voices go down hill (although still are great) the older they get, but then there are those like Alan's who age like a fine wine. To be honest, I think his voice sounds better now than it did 30 years ago. An amazing tone. Glad you guys are back!

Alan Jackson if on my Mount Rushmore of favorite artists, but I have to disagree with this comment. In his more modern live performances that I've seen, his voice sounds more shakey and he doesn't quite hit his higher notes very well. He sounded much better when he was younger.

I met Alan Jackson once. My sister and a friend and I saw his tour bus at a gas station after we left his concert. We stopped and his driver asked him to come to the window. He did and talked to us and signed autographs until others caught on and started pulling in. He apologized and closed the window. He us such a great guy. He's so humble and gracious. Always been one of my favorites.

Alan Jackson is notorious for being a Ford man. He scrimped and saved at 12 and bought a '55 T-Bird and restored it with his father. He sold it to help purchase his first house. Years later his wife hunted it down and bought it back for him as a surprise.

Alan is a great singer & fabulous writer. I have never heard a bad song from him. I saw him recently in an interview & he has some kind of neurological disease I never heard of. He says he has had it a quite a while but it's to the point people are noticing. He says he kind of stumbles around & he is worried people would think he was drunk on stage & start talking BS about him. He didn't want to embarrass his family. And yes he has all girls & a beautiful wife.
