Alan Jackson is the best male country singer around. This song is the best he has ever written and performed in my opinion. The honesty and emotions in his voice cannot be matched. This song won the title of Country Music Song of the Decade for the 2000's and it deserves nothing less.

I cried so hard that day and still do, always will. I feel so guilty that I, myself, couldn't do anything for the victims to help them. All I did and still do, is pray for their souls, families and friends. May they all Rest in Peace ~ God Bless America !!!

@joanharris80575 жыл бұрын
Sydney Strong I am offended when people refuse to stand for our flag and national anthem. My son-in-law served our country for 14 years and 7 deployments. He experienced war and saw his buddies die. We ought to respect our military, police officers, firefighters, and emergency responders. They put their life on the line for us. Not to mention the sacrifices their families make to support their loved ones.

This is a good song and there's nothing wrong with writing a song about 911. There's no doubt he was inspired to write about it because of his experience and emotions post 911- to put in words how he felt. Why not share the good messages this song is really about with the world? It's a little about 911 and alot about reminding us how we should be living every day and not taking life for granted.

Look, I'm not a country person nor would I be considered anywhere close to being a conservative yet this song touches me. I can so identify with this song. I did call up my mother to tell her I love her. I did notice things that I took for granted would always be there and did go to my Church that night. So tell me, what did you do to commemorate the loss of nearly 3000 lives that day? What did you do to help ease people's fears and sadness?

This is so sad but he is a great singer and he is a true american :] I was young when this happened but I too was not in my happiest playful attitude, I just wish that it never happened but it did and it may happen again or it may never ever happen again who knows. but I hope those people know that WE WILL NEVER FORGET! (why are people arguing over something that can be taken care of differently not in comments while people want to enjoy and remember that day)

First thing first this is this is my opinion and I apologize if I offended anyone... 19 years ago on 9/11/2001 the United states in encountered a tragedy and my heart still goes out 19 years later to all... my point about it is the hole thing is never forgotten but guess what I believe alot have... they dont make a big deal out of it anymore and god damit everyone we need to... that was a warning if this world doesn't straighten up something else is going to happen and we dont need that... we all came together 19 years ago and we all need to come together now no one is better than anyone god made us equal and where suppose to be proud to be American... and looking at this world today are four fathers are turning in there grave... come on America let's come together and become one...

I disagree this was a tragedy for this was a world of tragedy. Yes it was the most unthinkable tragedy for the US and it's hard to believe it has been 10 years, but the world suffered and came together as one because of this tragedy. The reality is it could've been any country in the world and the world mourned with us over the useless loss of inncocent lives lost that day. I only wish we could all stand together as one nation and world every day and not just because of such unspeakable tragedy

How the hell do you know that was his main motive? Country music stars are genuine, which is more than you can say for has been pop sluts like Britney Spears. He was sincere in writing this song. Music can be used for healing, and this song has helped me and many others to do that. I love this song and Alan Jackson, no matter what you and the creators of South Park say.

It really doesn't matter if you were addressing Alan specifically or not. The fact remains that most other genres are about flash and parties more than anything else. Britney Spears, for example, is more famous for being a train wreck than her singing ability. As for the part about writing the song for profit, I got you confused with the first asshole I responded to 4 weeks ago. My bad, there are so many of them here on KZbin.

Your "line of reasoning" doesn't fit Alan Jackson specifically. Much of what is called "country" today really isn't. Alan Jackson and George Strait are the few true country stars today. However, I believe country stars of the past were absolutely genuine. As far as I'm concerned, you don't get much more genuine than Haggard, Jones, and Cash. I believe Alan Jackson fits into that category too. What ticked me off the most is your presumption that Alan wrote this song for profit alone.

"LOL" at me all you want, I don't give a shit. Do you think the average country singer comes from a multimillionaire background? Most come from blue collar backgrounds, and sing about what they know. That doesn't mean there aren't phonies in country music, but Alan Jackson comes from humble beginnings, has never been divorced, and his twang is real, so your line of reasoning here is bunk. If music can't be used for healing and reflection, then what the hell is the purpose of it?
@starfish5012 жыл бұрын
. #- 1 - My assumptions re Islam are based on fact. The Quran verifys each and every statement I made regarding Islam. #-2 - It is your loss that you do not know me. #-3- I am very glad you do not live in America. #-3-there is no rational reason for me to go live in Antartica, considering the fact that I am Cherokee Native American, and this is our land it does not belong to anyone, least of all Muhammadians.

It's not beyond me at all. You don't like my definition of country music, so you call me names. What the fuck is hard to grasp about that? Of course, the nonsense truly began when you came here to turn this into a debate about Iraq and Iran. Just because some Americans don't know all the particulars of a country doesn't mean they support illegal wars in the middle east.
