We ought to respect our military, police officers, firefighters, and emergency responders. They put their life on the line for us. I disagree this was a tragedy for this was a world of tragedy. Yes it was the most unthinkable tragedy for the US and it's hard to believe it has been 10 years, but the world suffered and came together as one because of this tragedy. The reality is it could've been any country in the world and the world mourned with us over the useless loss of inncocent lives lost that day. Your "line of reasoning" doesn't fit Alan Jackson specifically. Much of what is called "country" today really isn't. Alan Jackson and George Strait are the few true country stars today. However, I believe country stars of the past were absolutely genuine. As far as I'm concerned, you don't get much more genuine than Haggard, Jones, and Cash.
