Yes, it is true, but this one is the only song from the album to have that funky groovy dancy vibe, everything else sounds unique off course, but this particular song sticks out from the most with it’s distinctive disco/funk style!

Alan was only the engeneer and gave his name, but the sound is greating by the mastermind of Eric Woolfson and the musician cor around him like David Paton and Ian Bairnson (both Pilot) and other musicians.

Alan Parsons Project Tales of mystery and imagination. (The whole album) mostly based on Edgar Allan Poe's stories. The Mysterious System of Dr. Tarr and Professor Feather. Wolfson wrote most of the actual music and lyrics, Parsons had a few ideas and some musical "licks" and of course mixed the crap out of every album. Ammonia Avenue is another electronic Parsons piece

"Eye in the sky" is a classic, "Oh life, there must be more", a personification of an old ship about to be scuttled, sung by David Pack is a masterpiece, and "Old and wise", sung by Zombies front man Colin Blunstone, is absolutely hauntingly beautiful.

Loved the reaction. Nick and Lex, you always put a smile on my face. A lot of Alan Parsons Project is listen with headphones/instrumental stuff. When they hit a pop groove, it's interesting. Games People Play is an example. Another would be Out of the Blue from The Time Machine album. You would certainly enjoy it.

This is a seriously underrated album, especially in the context of “concept “ albums. Listening to it from beginning to end is a pure joy. Check out Sagrada Familia from the Gaudi album. Check out the real thing as well if you ever get the chance. It’s mind blowing inside and out whether you have a faith or none at all. As an album listen the most cohesive is the first ‘Tales of mystery and imagination’ which is based on the works of Edgar Allan Poe. That really warrants a full album listen so maybe a live stream opportunity?......

If you care to check it out, the original performance video I always thought was really cool because it has them in the studio during the actual recording of it which at that time was really just starting to be "a thing" and I was a budding young guitar 🎸 player at that time so naturally whenever one of my favorite bands did a "studio performance video" I was all over it!!😆 Now the sound quality of it leaves a lot to be desired given the time period it was in naturally but you guys have already heard it on y'all's "bad boy" headphones so that shouldn't be an issue. Just thought you guys would enjoy seeing them in their element back in the day!!!✌️🎸🤟🎶❤
