Not really any more, we used to have extraordinary choice, Game On, Bottom, The Upper Hand, Allo Allo, Some Mothers Do Ave Em, early Red Dwarf, George and Mildred. These days all we get are American stuff and the occasional Britcom where the biggest joke is someone using the F-word.

I've lived in Dereham, K.Lynn, Aylsham, Heydon, Buxton, Lenwade, Brandiston, and others in Norfolk, and I can assure you all the places he mentioned were said correctly...if you speak English correctly anyway. Check the sound output on your computer/phone etc!

So funny when he mentions his celebrity friends like Bill Oddie and Noel Edmunds. Long before Partridge was concocted I had a best pal at school who I’ve still got on tape of us doing a similar character like a mix between between the Olympics commentators and the bad radio DJ playing Rick Wakeman and ELOs greatest hits. Just a brilliant character who folk can connect with as folk like Partridge do exist.

Alan has changed since the 90's that's for sure, but I don't know if that is deliberate or not. I mean not everyone remains the same over the years, people's personalities do evolve. Having said that, I do prefer the Alan of the 90's but that may be because that's where I found him.
