For me this is where Coogan, Baynham and Iannucci really hit the heights. It was never the ‘chasing the fame’ part of Alan that made him funny, it was the lampooning of Middle England in this series and prior. I see elements of my dad, friends, work colleagues, and myself in Partridge, and that’s the genius of the comedy, he’s more relatable than we’d admit too. I’m 49 next month, so I’m Alan’s age in this series, but I refuse to buy The Mail, and I’ll never have my glasses on a chain 😉

frippp66 last time I was in the raddison while working away. I used everything I could in the room to make me a zombie. Shower curtain. Flex of the mini kettle. Biscuits. Tomato sauce. The lot. Didn't venture out of the room. But made some shapes in front of the mirror. (And yes. I checked that the curtain could be reattached)
