I learned this and Tri Motolod while riding my bicycle through France. in the 80's. I'd sing it out loud until I got it right. Must have sounded funny to any bystanders. lol I did the same with Zucchero Fornaciari. I learned so much in my journey there. Wonderful place,music,and kind,warm people.

"Son ar chistr ("The song of the cider" in the Breton language, "Ev Chistr ’ta Laou!" originally) is a traditional song of Brittany, whose words in Breton were written in 1929 by two teenagers. The melody became known by the interpretation of the famous Breton singer Alan Stivell in the 1970s and in 1977 by the Dutch band Bots under the name "Zeven dagen lang"." And now shut up and enjoy the song.

@@БраниславПавловић yes medieval, after Anglo Saxons came to England in eighth century, some celts moved to the north west of France. They named their country Bretonia and where independent until 16 century. So this song was created in period from 8 to 16 century

I am dutch and growing up i only knew the dutch version of the song. I always have had a connection to Stivell's music and to be honest, this version speaks to me alot more and is somewhat more beautifully played in my opinion, but that's just Stivell's touch to the songs.
